Tuesday Turn About #78 Christmas Ideas

Spread the love

Today’s party is bringing lots of inspiration to you! Thanks for joining us at Tuesday Turn About #78 Christmas Ideas.

TUESDAY TURN ABOUT #78 Christmas Ideas

How has your first week of December been going?

Me?

It’s been… interesting, to say the least.

Along with my mom being scheduled for emergency oral surgery, and all that goes along with that (think, ‘dementia patient dealing with wisdom teeth post-op’ is assisted living), California now has a full stay-at-home-order… again… Yep, it’s been another week to remember.

And with the surgery happening this Saturday, this coming week will be interesting, too!

Shout-out to my sister who has done SO much to organize, prep, and plan for my mom! You ROCK, Deeds!

So, enough about my week… Let’s relax, and take a look at some lovely Christmas ideas that you might want to implement in YOUR home! And remember…

At last week’s party, we were inspired by unique Christmas decor.

But first, a few tips…

Weekly Household Tip

Do you have a DVD storage dilemma? Are you in a Blue-Ray organizing bind? Well, look no further! Here’s a great way to store your digital media disks so no one can see them!

Weekly Blogging Tip

Using Social Media Follow icons has been mentioned here before, I believe. You know, using the icons like you see on my sidebar and at the bottom of my page.

Well, if you don’t have them, get them. And then make sure that they open in another tab/window. Again, we always want to be sure to make it easy for our readers to get back to our site by just clicking/tapping on the tab that is already open.

Now, on to the party!

Check out our Tuesday Turn About Link Party Pinterest board! All NINE featured posts are pinned to this board each week!

Now It’s Your Turn! Link Away!

Let’s start sharing! Because this is a party, we encourage all who link up to visit several other bloggers who have linked as well – comments and pins are a great way to spread the love!

Before you get started, take a look at our guidelines:

  • This party is for home decor and home-related posts only (recipes, organizing, DIY, crafts, etc.). Link up to 3 related posts. Please do not link up informational posts that do not relate to the topic.
  • If you would please not link up shops, advertising, round-ups, other link parties, or any posts promoting sales, we would appreciate it.
  • DO NOT PIN FROM IMAGES ON THIS PAGE (it just won’t work right on Pinterest). However, please visit the original post/source and pin from there. That works perfectly!
  • Please make sure that your images are in a jpeg or png format. If we can’t save your image, we may not be able to feature you. So sad!
  • By linking to the party, you give us permission to share your projects on our blogs and social media. We will always give proper credit with a no-pin image.

What are you up to this week? More Christmas? Well, bring it on, and be sure to share in the comments, too!

  1. This is what I featured the week of 11-30 to 12-4-2020 on my blog. On Tuesday was Christmas Spirit Sugar Cookies. Wednesday saw Christmas Almond Balls. Thursday was Cherpumple Cake. And winding up Christmas specials was Turkey Ham and Cheese Strata. Enjoy!

  2. Thanks for the party Julie. I hope your mom is doing well 🙏🏼. You are very fortunate to have a sister to help 💛. This new lock down is craZy during a hectic time of year. My husband and I went Christmas shopping this afternoon and it was not that bad. We didn’t have to wait on any lines or anything. But my heart goes out to all the restaurants I hope they can survive. Have a fabulous week & stay safe.

    XO- MaryJo

    1. Yes, I agree about the businesses surviving… our 85 Degrees has cut their hours and inventory… it’s very sad. I’ll be surprised if they make it.

  3. I’m happy to join the party this week, Julie. I’m sorry to hear you’re having a tough week, though. I’ll be thinking of you and praying that your mom’s surgery goes well. The lock down orders are hard, but hopefully it will help slow down the spread of this awful virus until the vaccines arrive. I love your features! Now I’m heading over to see Michelle and Carol’s picks 🙂

  4. This holiday inspiration is so much fun, Julie! Thanks so much for including me in your features this week, it’s so sweet of you. I can’t wait to see more from your Christmas decor too. Thinking of you and your sister as you guys navigate your Mom’s care. I know it’s not an easy feat at any time but especially during the pandemic and I’ll be keeping you in my prayers. Thanks so much for hosting CoCo

    1. Thanks, CoCo… we ended up postponing, as there were a couple positive tests at her AL (assisted living). She’s fine, but the surgeon won’t do it now since she *may* have been exposed. Thanks for the prayers… we covet them!

  5. So much Christmas inspiration! can’t wait to go thru the links. Praying things go well with your mom next week. Thanks so much for having us over!

  6. Great party, Julie! Thank you for hosting! I’m sorry about your mom and with the lockdown, that has to be tough! Wishing you all the very best! Take care, my friend!

    Hugs,

  7. Ahh, Julie, I was catching up and had just commented on your Christmas tree post of how I hoped you were enjoying the Christmas season. I sure hope the stressors of this past week are behind you and that your mom is healing well with no issues. I hope Turn About Tuesday provides you as much inspiration as it does me, and i thank you for continuing the party, even when you may not be up to it. I hope this week unfolds better.

    1. You are so kind, Rita. My mom’s surgery is postponed until after Christmas. We’ll see what happens then. Praying that her issues stay under control until then. Thank you for your encouragement and support!

    1. Thanks, Amy… surgery was postponed, as they had some positive tests come back at her AL. We’ll see after the holiday, but it looks like we won’t have a face-to-face Christmas with my mom. God has this… just makes you wonder sometimes!

  8. Sorry to hear about your Mom and I hope all goes well with her surgery and recovery. As of yesterday, we are in lockdown for 4-weeks, no Christmas – no New Year’s with family and friends. The news we were hoping not to get. Seeing all the Christmas inspiration here helps lift the spirits. Thank you!

    1. Oh, THAT’s what you meant on Leanna’s blog about the shutdown. I’m so sorry. Hopefully you can Zoom with family members. Looks like that will happen with my mom, as they just had some positives at her home, as well.

  9. Thanks so much for hosting! I love your frosty minty Christmas theme this year. 🙂 I hope your mom does ok with the surgery, and you and your sister are able to help despite the lock downs. Thinking of you all!

    1. Thanks, Amy… they had some Covid show up at the AL, so surgery is postponed. Praying we can control the issues she is having until it’s clear!
