Tuesday Turn About #202 Floral Gala

Spread the love

Today, it’s all about flowers and gardening. It’s Tuesday Turn About #202 Floral Gala.

TUESDAY TURN ABOUT #202 FLORAL GALA

We talked all about home at last week’s party!

Another week, another party!

Can you believe it’s mid May already? Next month the year will be half over! So crazy!

Are you ready for the summer season?

The think I like most about the summer season is my daughter and grandson were both born in the summer… and summer home tours!

Be on the lookout for next week’s summer tour with The Bloggers’ Best Summer Home Tour hop… It’s always a blast!

Update on “the Cleanse”…

Last week, I shared that I was starting a 21-day purification cleanse. In case you are wondering how it’s going…

To be honest, it really hasn’t been hard at all. However, the hardest part this first week was taking 10 pills, three times a day. Any pills tend to hit my stomach a bit hard, so it’s really difficult to be motivated to take them.

But took them I did! And now I only have to take 7 pills twice a day. 🙂

The recipes I’ve made are super yummy…

…and I will continue to make them in the future. The fresh fruits and veggies have been really good, and the whole food protein shake supplement has been easy to take, as well!

I have two more weeks to go! Oh, and I’m down 8.7 pounds! (Water and inflammation weight loss, for sure!)

I’ll keep you posted!

Flowers, flowers, everywhere!

This week, flower and gardening posts caught my eye! Probably because I’m hoping to get my balcony ready for summer next week, as I’m currently working on my summer tour for next week’s hop.

Yep, summer is already on the horizon!

Don’t forget…

Weekly Household Tip

Want a fresh, healthy, and yummy lunch? My favorite right now is taking a bowl and adding chopped avocado, sliced grape tomatoes, a scoop of (rinsed) black beans, and a chopped 1/2 chicken breast. Drizzle a bit of olive oil over the top and sprinkle with oregano and salt and pepper to taste. Mix up and enjoy!

Weekly Blogging Tip

Time is getting short for the conversion/migration to GA4. And, I’m running a bit late myself! Right now, I’m looking for the info on exactly how to do this. I’ll keep you posted on this in the next couple weeks in this section.

Stay tuned!

Now, let’s party!

Let’s start sharing! Because this is a party, we encourage all who link up to visit several other bloggers who have linked as well – comments and pins are a great way to spread the love!

Before you get started, take a look at our guidelines:

  • This party is for home decor and home-related posts only (recipes, organizing, DIY, crafts, etc.). Link up to 3 related posts. Please do not link up informational posts that do not relate to the topic.
  • If you would please not link up shops, advertising, round-ups, other link parties, or any posts promoting sales, we would appreciate it.
  • DO NOT PIN FROM IMAGES ON THIS PAGE (it just won’t work right on Pinterest). However, please visit the original post/source and pin from there. That works perfectly!
  • Please make sure that your images are in a jpeg or png format. If we can’t save your image, we may not be able to feature you. So sad!
  • By linking to the party, you give us permission to share your projects on our blogs and social media, with the use of ONE photo from your blog for that may be included in a pinnable collage. We will always give proper credit with a no-pin image.

I don’t think we say it enough, but we are so thankful for y’all that visit the party and link-up… we hope you enjoy the party, too!

    1. Ohhh, I SO get you there, Allyson. Coke AND ice cream are both my downfalls. Coke is my fave drink! However, my inflammation was overwhelming, and I just couldn’t get a handle on my eating habits. I’m hoping the Lord is using this to help me stop putting up my hand to Him and saying, “No, I want what I want.” It was getting too serious of a sin for me. It’s been going on far too long.

  1. Thanks so much for sharing my potting bench this week! I did the transfer to G4 last month and if I can do it anyone can, haha. I’d love to hear about your protein shake, and good for you, Julie, you’re doing great!!!!

    1. Thanks, Debra… Okay, I feel encouraged about GA4. I’ll def dive-in this week!

My shake is the one provided by Standard Process (the 21-day purification I’m doing). It’s a whey based protein, but they also have a plant one available. I just add two scoops of it to fruit or veggies (I love a pumpkin shake), and then a tablespoon of flax oil, plus a wee bit of stevia. I use some cold water and ice cubes, too. I could actually take it without anything… just water and a splash of pure juice would work. It really doesn’t taste bad, and the consistency is not overwhelming. 🙂

      1. Thanks for the info on the protein shake. I’m lactose intolerant, so whey doesn’t work but I’ll check out the plant based protein powder. Your different shakes sound super yummy!!

        1. Thanks, Debra. Yes… they offered a plant based protein, as well. But, I will use my own protein once I’m finished. The one I normally use has more protein.

  2. Julie,
Thanks again for hosting this charming party every week! I know how much time goes into doing so and I want you to know that it I truly appreciate it!! I hope you have a great week!
    Hugs,
    Deb

  3. I’m with you! I would have a hard time taking that many pills in one day!! Congrats on sticking with it! You’re a better woman than I…LOL. Thank you for the party. Enjoy the rest of your week. Toodles, Kathryn @TheDedicatedHouse

    1. Thanks, Kathryn. Really… I’m not better than anyone else. It has been a huge sin area for me. And I’ve been asking the Lord for help for a long time, but struggled still. I was finally just tired of it. The inflammation was so bad, and I believe my blood sugar was too high, as well. I needed something to break the cycle. But, I get the struggle… I’m sure it will always be one for me.

  4. You are so nice to feature my flower gift. I thought it was just meh but really really appreciate it! This weeks link is much better. lol. Hope you have a wonderful weekend.
    Happy to party with you.

    1. I think it was so pretty, and perfect for any lady in our lives! You are so welcome. We need to chat soon!

  5. Thanks for the party Julie and congrats on the cleanse. They are never fun but the weight lose always feels good. I need to get back to my protein shakes. Thanks for the inspo. XO- MJ

    1. Thanks, MaryJo. I’m thankful for the weight loss, but even more so for just feeling better. I’m praying that I will continue with these new habits! Tonight is Thai yellow curry vegetables and chicken (over quinoa!)

  6. Good for you sticking with your eating plan. It’s already paying off. You must be feeling better!
That flower vase is beautiful 🙂
    Have a great week.
    Hugs,
    Rachelle

    1. Definitely feeling better. Falling asleep faster, MUCH less inflammation, and I’m enjoying the food. It’s been fairly easy, since I love healthy things to eat… just love those carbs and sugar more!

  7. Thank you so much for featuring my pressed flower vase! It is so fun to see all of the beautiful projects with flowers!!! So much inspiration!
