Sunday Be Stills and Real Love
As we enter into the week with a day that celebrates love, let’s take a moment to quiet our hearts and focus with Sunday Be Stills and real love.
SUNDAY BE STILLS AND REAL LOVE
As Valentine’s Day approaches, some of us may be acutely aware of the lack of Valentine’s celebrations in our lives. However, this could also be the time that we can thankful for what love we DO have in our lives!
See more about being still and focusing at our first Sunday Be Still.
Earthly Love
There are lots of different types of love we can experience here on Earth:
Love from a mother and/or father.
Love from a sister…
Or a brother.
Our children can love us with a strong and deep love.
A grandparent’s love is like none other.
The love we receive from a sweet puppy or cat.
And, one of my faves… the love from a grandchild is a joy and delight.
Though these types of loves can all be wonderful and amazing, and oftentimes words cannot describe these tastes of Heaven we experience, we all know that these relationships are not always perfect (and sometimes far from it).
So, where can we find perfect love?
Heavenly Love
The perfect love that so many of us seek can only be found in one place, one Person, one God.
Jesus love never fails… He is always faithful to love us with a perfect love. He loves us so much that He always gives us what is good for us, even when it doesn’t look like it.
“For the LORD God is a sun and shield; the LORD bestows favor and honor. No good thing does he withhold from those who walk uprightly. Psalm 84:11″
And, He loves us so much that He died for us. The perfect Savior took the place for our sins by dying and then conquering death by rising again.
And when we go to Him, no matter what we have done in our lives, ask Him to forgive us and reign in our lives, He gives us the most all-encompassing, unconditional, perfect love that we will ever experience! And He never withholds that love… ever.
Won’t you join me this week to especially be still and focus on the perfect Love that knows no bounds, will never fail us, and never withhold good from us?
P.S. Feel free to print out this 3 x 5 card on some bright white cardstock, cut it out, and slip it into your purse or backpack so you can be reminded of His love throughout the day, week, and month. You can start collecting the verse cards from each Sunday Be Still, punch a hole in the corner of each card and put then all on a D-ring!
PRINT IT!
I love this challenge to focus on God throughout the day! God and His Word is filled with love! It’s like God sends us a personal Valentine, a love letter every time we open the Bible! ❤️
Oh, I LOVE that, Nancy! God’s Love Letter… His personal Valentine! :’-)
So true, Julie. We have such a wonderful Father. He’s always with us.
Amen, sister!
I love this Julie…in fact check out my link party tonight at 8 pm Monday and you will see I featured you.
Hugs and Blessings dear friend.
Oh, Kari! Thank you! I’ve been working on my blog all evening and almost forgot! Off to linkup! Hugs!
Such a beautiful verse! My husband and I provided the flowers at the altar at church the Sunday before Valentine’s Day. They asked how we would like them to be dedicated in the church program and I told them to just type out that EXACT verse (Romans 5:8) under our name! I agree with you that God’s love is the perfect love.
Now THAT’s a fun story to hear. 😉 Thank you for sharing, Gayle! Hugs and hearts!
Thank you, Father, for your perfect love for us! And thank you, Julie, for the reminder!
Yes… He is good, all the time!
So true- HIS love never fails!! And what a lovely printable reminder!
Thanks, Janet! I would like to start this series again!
What a perfect and timely reminder, Julie! And, the card is so pretty. I will print it out and keep it on my desk. Thank you!
Oh… so glad you were encouraged. God is good, all the time!
