Tuesday Turn About #289 Funtastic February: We’re having loads of fun at the party with recipes, tablescapes, DIYs, decor and more!
TUESDAY TURN ABOUT #289 FUNTASTIC FEBRUARY
Last week’s party was all about winter and hearts!
Welcome to the first party of February 2025!
Are you feeling the ‘freeze’ in your part of the world?

It’s definitely a colder winter than we’ve had in a while here in So Cal, but I’m still on the lookout for rain. We usually get the rain in late winter and early spring. How ’bout you?
This week, we are sharing more Valentine’s Day fun, along with recipes and some DIY tips and tricks!
But first…
Abode Adventures
It’s been a long minute since I shared about my health lifestyle.
With the new job at Hobby Lobby AND two new granddaughters, I haven’t had the time or energy to cook, so my eating plan took a bit of a detour.
As of today, since the beginning of November, I have gained back 5.8 pounds.
Now, that’s without drinking my water AND eating a bit crazy. With my schedule settling down at HL and family life getting into a new normal, my goal is to get back on the wagon, in all ways. I’m looking forward to what next week (and next month’s check-in here at the party) will look like.
Prayers are always appreciated!

My Wee Finds
This week, I bought these lovely earrings as a gift for a friend.
These coordinating Valentine pillow covers are super cute, and this extra plushy one comes in different colors, too!
This lovely cheesecloth tablerunner is affordable and will add a touch of elegance to any table… the blush is perfect for Valentine’s Day!
Weekly Household Tip
If you mix your oil and vinegar dressing in your mini food processor, it will create a creamy texture that won’t separate! (Plus, the mini food processor is great for so many other cooking applications!)
Weekly Blogging Tip
Have you updated your About Page lately? Never written one? Get on it! Our readers love to be ‘in-the-know’ about our lives, and be sure to ask them to comment on your page about their lives!

Check out our Tuesday Turn About Link Party Pinterest board! All featured posts are pinned to this board each week, IF you have a pinnable image!

Let’s start sharing! Because this is a party, we encourage all who link up to visit several other bloggers who have linked as well – comments and pins are a great way to spread the love!
Before you get started, take a look at our guidelines:
- This party is for home decor, home-related posts, and family-related posts only (recipes, organizing, DIY, crafts, travel, education, etc.). Link up to 3 related posts. Please do not link up informational posts that do not relate to the topic.
- If you would please not link up shops, advertising, round-ups, other link parties, or any posts promoting sales, we would appreciate it.
- DO NOT PIN FROM IMAGES ON THIS PAGE (it just won’t work right on Pinterest). However, please visit the original post/source and pin from there. That works perfectly!
- Please make sure that your images are in a jpeg or png format. If we can’t save your image, we may not be able to feature you. So sad!
- By linking to the party, you give us permission to share your projects on our blogs and social media, with the use of ONE photo from your blog for that may be included in a pinnable collage. We will always give proper credit with a no-pin image.
Do you have special plans for Valentine’s Day? What decor are you displaying in your home, and what colors are you using? I’d love to hear about it in the comments below!

Julie,
I too am still trying to get back on track after Christmas with my wellness program…Give yourself some grace…You will get back to it…

Thanks for the encouragement, Deb. I had one ‘clean’ day yesterday, and prepped for another today! 😉
Thant Wire Art Heart is adorable! Thanks so for hosting, have a great week ahead. Melynda @scratchmadefood!
Very clever, too, right? Thanks, Melynda!
Thanks for having us over, Julie. Have a great week.
Always love having you here, Debra!
Sorry about the weight gain. That’s the biggest problem with lifestyle diets, the second you go off them the weight comes back on. So many cute Valentine ideas this month. Thanks for the party.
Oh… It actually was a slow gain this time! Usually I will have easily gained 10-15 pounds in three months! This time, it was very slow, and small. I’m encouraged that this is working the way it should. I shouldn’t be ‘going off’ anyways. The food is great, I just idolize sugar and flour! 🙁
Thanks, Julie! My weight fluctuates about 3-5 pounds, so don’t worry too much. Life can be so hectic. I’ll keep you in my prayers!
Thanks, Pam… I’m encouraged that it was such a slow gain back… 6 pounds in over three months is not my norm… it’s usually 10-15! I’m thankful. 🙂
Thank you so much for the feature, Julie. Have a great week!
You are so welcome, Ann! My new granddaughter’s middle name is Ann… after me! 😉 Very special!
Hey, Julie. Keeping on track with a new eating plan is hard. Like everything, it’s a habit. I used to drink a Diet Dr Pepper almost every day for years. Then I stopped for years and started drinking iced tea with Sweet n’ Low for years. Then in 2021, I stopped the tea, too. I started drinking enough water to float away. Then last summer, suddenly I got a craving a Dr Pepper. Now I have one a couple of times a week. I’m still drinking a lot of water, but I want to give of the DP, too. Good habits, bad habits! Thank you for featuring my girlfriend’s Valentine’s brunch post.
Yes… I agree, Carol! My eating habits need to be just that… habits! 😉
Thank you Julie! You have been in a whirlwind the last few months, so cut yourself some slack, I’m sure you’ll be back on track soon~
God is good, even through this. He is showing me that I need Him, because I will always run to my idols, this side of Heaven! 😉
Hello Julie, thank you for hosting. What an awesome roundup of features.
My entries: #37+38+39
Please share with SSPS.
Always glad to have you here!
As the friend who received those darling earrings, thank you SO much! They look even better in person!
LOL! You are so welcome! I can’t wait to see them in person!
Loving all 12 of the features this week Julie! Healthy is a mindset so all you can do is make great decisions for today! Have a wonderful week! Creatively, Beth
Agreed, Beth! Thanks for the encouragement!
Oh I hear you on the eating better and drinking more water. I was doing so well all through the holidays and even on our Hawaii trip but January has been so tough. I think, partly because it’s been so darn cold and snowy that I’ve been stuck inside more and moving less too.
Yes, our circumstances often affect our choices with what we put in our bodies. Exhaustion and “I deserve this” are my biggies!
Julie, thank you so much for considering my tabkescape this week as a feature among these talented others!
We’re cheering your commitment to your healthier self. Slips due to work and family commitments are certainly understandable. It’s good to acknowledge them and move forward.
We have gone from a deep freeze in January to a very saturated February, and it’s only the 5th!
Thanks for the party.
Thanks, Rita. Appreciate the kind and encouraging words. We are expecting rain for the next three days. We need it, and I look forward to it!
Good luck with the new food regime. I am off on holiday soon and always wish I’d been more disciplined in advance!
On the other hand although I eat little in the way of oils, that’s such a brilliant idea about mixing salad dressings. How much nicer is it when emulsified properly!

I hope you enjoy your holiday, Pamela. Yes, I agree that I struggle with doing better BEFORE I go on vacation, as well! 😉
Thanks for hosting us all, Julie! We love participating and learning from each other!
Thanks for joining, Laura!
Wow I appreciate the feature so much Julie! Hugs my friend!
You are so welcome! Miss you!
I’m so behind this week…thanks so much for the feature! I really appreciate it! Enjoy your week!
