Spread the love

Autumn is sneaking up on us… and today we have some yummy recipes to share! Tuesday Turn About #168 Autumn Treats!

TUESDAY TURN ABOUT #168 AUTUMN TREATS

Last week, we had a plethora of fall decor ideas!

Happy Tuesday, everyone!

This week, we actually had some rain… and the temps are starting to break! I hope the decline continues to the end of the month, as I have a D-land trip planned with family!

As I said at last week’s party, I’m featuring some fall recipes this week… apples, cinnamon, pumpkin, etc.

And don’t forget to visit my co-hostesses… Cindy actually decided to feature recipes this week, too!

Be sure to hop on over to My Family Thyme and Reinvented Delaware to check out SIX additional features from TTA!
If you haven’t been featured at MWA this week, you just may be featured there!

Now for some tips!

Weekly Household Tip

If your trash can liners continuously slip INTO the can before you’re ready to empty the trash, tie a little not at the top of the bag or in one of the drawstrings. This will help keep the bag in place around the rim of the trash can.

Weekly Blogging Tip

Today’s tip is quick.

After you have finished writing a post, got go through (see, I even made a mistake after reading through THREE times) and read aloud to yourself the whole post (so you don’t feel COMPLETELY crazy, you can even do it in a whisper ). This WILL help you find grammar mistakes, incorrect spelling, and sometimes even a ‘flow’ issue (on those nights you are writing into the wee hours of the morning)!

No Bake Pumpkin Oatmeal Cookies

Since childhood, one of my favorite cookies is the chocolate no-bake oatmeal cookie. It can’t get any better than chocolate, oatmeal, and no oven-heat… especially with the temps right now!

When I saw this recipe for no bake pumpkin oatmeal cookies, I thought, “Well, it DID just get better!” Be sure to try this recipe from Melissa at Everyday Savvy.

Mini Apple Pie Pockets

Hand-pies are always so yummy, and easy to make! Cook, Clean, Then Repeat is sharing a recipe for delicious mini apple pie pockets that are perfect for a cozy movie night with your fave hot beverage!

Baked Iced Pumpkin Donuts

It’s a shame that donut stores don’t carry pumpkin donuts all year long, don’t you agree? Well, with this baked iced pumpkin donut recipe from Crystal and Co., you can make your own donuts in a jiffy!

Let’s start sharing! Because this is a party, we encourage all who link up to visit several other bloggers who have linked as well – comments and pins are a great way to spread the love!

Before you get started, take a look at our guidelines:

  • This party is for home decor and home-related posts only (recipes, organizing, DIY, crafts, etc.). Link up to 3 related posts. Please do not link up informational posts that do not relate to the topic.
  • If you would please not link up shops, advertising, round-ups, other link parties, or any posts promoting sales, we would appreciate it.
  • DO NOT PIN FROM IMAGES ON THIS PAGE (it just won’t work right on Pinterest). However, please visit the original post/source and pin from there. That works perfectly!
  • Please make sure that your images are in a jpeg or png format. If we can’t save your image, we may not be able to feature you. So sad!
  • By linking to the party, you give us permission to share your projects on our blogs and social media, with the use of ONE photo from your blog for that may be included in a pinnable collage. We will always give proper credit with a no-pin image.

The fall season is my fave, next to Christmas! Can’t wait to see all the fun posts coming our way this week!

  1. Hi Julie! Happy Fall. I hope you are well. Thank you for hosting this link party. It’s a great way for bloggers to connect with one another.

  2. thought it ironic that your post about Weekly Blogging Tip says “After you have finished writing a post, —- got—through and read aloud to yourself
    Weekly Blogging Tip
” Of course we know you mean “go thru”. Just thought it humerous that it should happen just when you are suggesting the solution to others.

    1. Tell me about it, Sammy! Totally ironic! I even read through my post two times instead of my normal one time to check… and I read through my blogging tip three times! Argh! I’m glad you found it humorous! 😉 Going to change it now. Thanks for letting me know!

    1. Maybe i’ll do a post? Not sure how many would be interested in that. I’ll have to think about it. If it’s hot, I doubt I’ll be wanting to take photos. I’ll be spending time praying that I stay in a good mood! 😉

  3. Julie, better enjoy that break in the weather and trip to Disneyland before fall breaks and snowbirds go back to FL and overwhelm! Thanks for the party and tips. I do both of those! I’m pacing my time with indoor fall decor and our antique booth displays (always needing to be a step ahead on both, sharing #16, 17). The landscape and outdoor decor comes last for me, lol – summer annuals stick around until October, but I’m working on seeding grass with cooler temps. Have a great week!

    1. Sounds like you are a busy woman! Good for you! Keeps our brains moving, for sure! We are hoping that most have finished vacations and the traffic will be light at D-land at the end of the month. Drove by today and it looks like LOTS of people are still vacationing! Praying for great weather, like we are having this week!

  4. Thanks again for hosting this charming party every week! I know how much time goes into doing so and I want you to know that it I truly appreciate it!! Stay safe, healthy and happy!!
    Hugs,
    Debbie

  5. Thanks so much for the party Julie. I always love the inspiration I find here but… now I’m hungry!!! Your featured recipes look amazing! Anything with even a hint of pumpkin and I’m all in. Have a great week and a wonderful time at Disneyland!

  6. J, your break in the weather reached Idaho yesterday! Yea for cooler temps. I’m enjoying the pumpkin recipes 🙂
    Enjoy Disneyland – I miss it 🙁
    hugs,
    Rachelle

  7. Hi Julie, We have been having really nice weather for weeks, even back in August (which is NOT typical for here at all. Usually August is miserably hot.) Have fun on your trip! I love Disney.

  8. Julie,
Love all of those fall recipes. I want to taste all of them. I hope you have a wonderful trip to Disneyland. I am sharing my Bats, Branches and Bows post.
    Have a great weekend.
    Hugs,
    Bev

    1. So fun to have you join us, Beverly! D-land is still on, though the temps look pretty yucky that day. We’ll see what the Lord has in store! 😉
