Tuesday Turn About #270 Falloween
Tuesday Turn About #270 Falloween: We are all about fun fall crafts that have a focus on Halloween!
TUESDAY TURN ABOUT #2708 Falloween
We had a pumpkin palooza at last week’s party.
Welcome to this week’s party!
Are you ready to get started on some fun Halloween decor, crafts, and DIYs?
Now is the time to get started, as there are only 6 short weeks left before the kids are out tricking and treating!
We’ve got some cutie little Caspers made out of glass, a black kitten pumpkin with two sides, a quick little craft for the kiddos that will drive them ‘batty’, and so much more!
But first, let’s take a look at some finds and tips!
Abode Adventures
This week, Sherwin Williams is having a 40% off sale on all their paint! So you can bet MY bottom dollar that I ran over and purchased two quarts of my kitchen cabinet paint! Woot!
But, a word of warning… the POS system didn’t give me the correct discount, and I caught it! So be sure to check your receipt if you get to the sale.
I’m getting ready to sand the last two kitchen cabinet doors, and then I’ll be ready to prime and paint. Keepin’ it real here… I’m just a little nervous. It’s been a while since I used my spray painter, so a practice run will be in order.

My Wee Finds
A couple of weeks ago, when I visited my son and his family, I neglected to tell you that, when I got back, the heat in my trailer had decided to ‘cook’ a yam in my pantry! Since it was on the top shelf that is vented, it dripped ALL OVER, and actually seeped into the wood on the bottom of my pantry. Thankfully, it doesn’t smell awful… just ‘sweet and savory’.
To protect the wood from another spill or spontaneous ‘bake’, I’ve purchased a thick vinyl liner. This waterproof liner is cut-to-size, and comes in different colors, too!
Some of the new recipes I’m making call for lemon zest, like the Zesty Rosemary Turkey Burgers (one of my faves), and the Salmon with Rosemary Sweet Potatoes and Asparagus. I thought the only thing I could use was the zester on my big hand grater. What a pain! Until, I used my son-in-law’s zester! Game changer! So I purchased the OXO Zester and Grater. It also works great for parmesan… another item I use frequently.
My leather flip-flops finally bit the dust, after 13 years! They were wonderful and, of course, no longer available to purchase again. So, after three different purchases/returns, I found these Vionic Women’s Casual Aliza sandals. They are pretty, give great support to my my plantar fasciitis-prone feet, and the toe separator is really comfortable, too.
Weekly Household Tip
This week’s tip comes from my ‘trailer neighbor’/former boss/very good friend, Dan.
Gotta a door, or any hinge, that sounds like the creak in a Halloween movie? Don’t use those products that smell up the whole house! Take some Murphy’s Oil Soap Wood Cleaner and give the squeak a squirt! Smells great, and works like a charm!
Weekly Blogging Tip
It’s been a while since I’ve listened to the Simple Pin Podcast, but it has always been SO helpful! I’m going to start listening again. Anyone want to join me?
Until then, let’s peruse some posts!
BTW… I’m using a new ‘READ MORE’ button to take you to the featured posts. What do you think? Do you like the button, or do you prefer just having the link inside the description?
Though not a requirement at all, I would be SO blessed if you would subscribe and/or follow me either here on the blog, Facebook, Pinterest, or Instagram. Thanks!

Check out our Tuesday Turn About Link Party Pinterest board! All featured posts are pinned to this board each week, IF you have a pinnable image!
Let’s start sharing! Because this is a party, we encourage all who link up to visit several other bloggers who have linked as well – comments and pins are a great way to spread the love!
Before you get started, take a look at our guidelines:
- This party is for home decor, home-related posts, and family-related posts only (recipes, organizing, DIY, crafts, travel, education, etc.). Link up to 3 related posts. Please do not link up informational posts that do not relate to the topic.
- If you would please not link up shops, advertising, round-ups, other link parties, or any posts promoting sales, we would appreciate it.
- DO NOT PIN FROM IMAGES ON THIS PAGE (it just won’t work right on Pinterest). However, please visit the original post/source and pin from there. That works perfectly!
- Please make sure that your images are in a jpeg or png format. If we can’t save your image, we may not be able to feature you. So sad!
- By linking to the party, you give us permission to share your projects on our blogs and social media, with the use of ONE photo from your blog for that may be included in a pinnable collage. We will always give proper credit with a no-pin image.

I actually used it for the first time the other day… it’s AMAZING! Such a small thing that makes life so much easier, especially now that I’m cooking so much!
Those floating candles are so cool, Julie! I love all of your tips. Also, the Read More button is great, but either way seems good, so I say do whichever is easier. Thanks for hosting, friend!
Thanks for the input, Pam! I just visited TFT… I wanna know why you don’t like fall!
Haha, Julie, well it’s not so much that I hate fall, but I hate the impending winter! And fall is such a reminder that winter is about to happen. Plus, I don’t like how the days gradually get shorter and darker. It saps my mood. BUT, I like the pretty leaves, pumpkins, sweaters, apples, etc.!
My sister and daughter have the same issue with the daylight getting shorter. I get that.
Thank you so much for the feature this week! I’m crushing on these cute projects. BTW I like the Read More button. Very clever my friend!
Okay… good to know you like the button! And, you are so welcome! So many fun fall-ness these days!
