Tuesday Turn About #184 January Tips
It’s party time, and this week it’s all about tips for the new year (and maybe some reflections, as well). It’s Tuesday Turn About #184 January Tips.
TUESDAY TURN ABOUT #184 JANUARY TIPS
If you didn’t make it last week, we talked about ‘savoring’ the new year!
Welcome to the party! So glad you are joining us (again?)!
At this week’s party, I’m featuring some tips and ideas for the new year, as well as some reflections from one of our party-attendees.

In So Cal this week, we have actually had rain, rain, and more rain! As I write this post, looking out the slider, it’s pouring! Turn up the sound on this short video below!
It’s so stormy… and my nieces are at Disneyland in all of this! Crazy girls!
A rainy season has not happened in YEARS here in So Cal! So thankful to the Lord for giving us glimpses of Heaven by watering our earth!
What’s the weather like in your part of the country???
Okay, enough of the weather report! Let’s get to the party!
Regular Schedule
We are back to our regular schedule for the party! Tips are back, and we are each featuring 3 posts a week!
Remember…
Be sure to hop on over to My Family Thyme and Reinvented Delaware to check out SIX additional features from TTA!
If you haven’t been featured at MWA this week, you just may be featured there!
Weekly Household Tip
This post may contain affiliate links, at no additional cost to you. For more information, see my complete disclosure HERE.
My tip for using a metal bowl for whipping cream has been shared before, I believe. Did you know you can also use this wonderful Kitchenaid Cordless Chopper, as well? It has a whipping attachment that can not only aid in making salad dressing, but whips up cream in a jiffy!
And, of course, it chops nuts, onions, and all the things in a snap, too!
Extra tip: Use a dash of vanilla when making whipped cream… it’s yummy!
Weekly Blogging Tip
They say that copying is the best form of flattery.
Well, it all depends. 😉
As bloggers, we definitely want our readers to copy the DIYs, tips, and tricks we are sharing on our blog, right?
However, when we are talking about copying within the blogging community at large, just don’t. It’s true there is nothing new under the sun, but if you want to share a similar project on your blog that you found on another blog, be sure to put your own twist on it. (And we aren’t just talking a little twist… make sure it’s noticeable.)
And NEVER copy a blogger’s content (aka written word), without giving credit via a link to their blog. It just makes for a more loving and joyful community.

Saving for Next Year’s Christmas
Want some tips and tricks on how to prepare for gift-giving next year? Natasha from Serenity You is sharing some ideas that you won’t want to miss! (Extra fun perk: Natasha is from the UK and her accent comes through clearly on her post… anyone know what ‘prezzies’ are without Googling it?)

Have a More Productive Year
Susan from Home with Grace and Joy is sharing some great tips for having a more productive, and blessed, 2023! I love her devotional tip the most!

Check out our Tuesday Turn About Link Party Pinterest board! All featured posts are pinned to this board each week, IF you have a pinnable image!

Let’s start sharing! Because this is a party, we encourage all who link up to visit several other bloggers who have linked as well – comments and pins are a great way to spread the love!
Before you get started, take a look at our guidelines:
- This party is for home decor and home-related posts only (recipes, organizing, DIY, crafts, etc.). Link up to 3 related posts. Please do not link up informational posts that do not relate to the topic.
- If you would please not link up shops, advertising, round-ups, other link parties, or any posts promoting sales, we would appreciate it.
- DO NOT PIN FROM IMAGES ON THIS PAGE (it just won’t work right on Pinterest). However, please visit the original post/source and pin from there. That works perfectly!
- Please make sure that your images are in a jpeg or png format. If we can’t save your image, we may not be able to feature you. So sad!
- By linking to the party, you give us permission to share your projects on our blogs and social media, with the use of ONE photo from your blog for that may be included in a pinnable collage. We will always give proper credit with a no-pin image.
We are looking forward to seeing all the winter, spring and Valentine posts! Remember, you can link-up new content AND evergreen content, too!

SO glad you’re getting some rain! Hope you can stay dry and safe – it seems to be either famine or feast down there! Thanks as always for hosting the party, and Happy Second Week of January!
Thanks, Barbara… We are getting some breaks in-between. The weather app says it’s over now until Saturday. 🙂 Happy January!
Thank you for the feature, Julie. And your kind words and prayers on Ron’s passing. I so appreciate your support.
Love
Rachelle
Of course… continued prayers, Rachelle… Let me know if you need to talk!
Thanks so much Julie and Happy 2023! Your Valentine cloche is adorable!
Oh, thank you! Happy 2023!
Thank you so much for hosting!
Wow look at all that rain! Sometimes it is so peaceful to watch and listen too. Thanks for hosting Julie. Have a great week.
Yes. I love listening to the rain. The grandkids are thrilled, as they have never seen so much rain in their lives! Crazy, right?!
Hi Julie,
It has been snow and rain here for days! I am needing a little sunshine but I am so grateful for the moisture we needed it so badly here in Utah. Thank you for hosting your party each week. I know how much effort it takes putting it together every week. Thank you for linking up to mine too 🙂
Hugs,
Karin
Yes… I’m sure sunshine will be on my list, soon! 😉 Glad you are getting some precipitation, too! 😉
Hope you had a wonderful holiday season! Glad you are getting much needed rain, what a blessing! It is beautiful in FL this week! Thank you so much for hosting!
Thanks, Donna… Yes, my family lives in W. Melbourne, and they said things are lovely there!
So glad you’ve been getting some good rain. Hope you’re in a safe area, I’ve been watching all the sad situations with flooding in CA. Thanks so much for hosting and have a wonderful week!
Yes… our area is safe. We should get a few days rest now… No more until Saturday, but only the Lord really knows! 😉
Julie – Yay for the rain you so need. It’s just been kind of gray here in MD. Thanks so much for hosting and have a great week.
So glad you are with us this week, Regina. Gray can be good… for a bit. 😉
Hi Julie! Thanks so much for the party. The rain has been pretty much non stop here in northern CA as well. We so need it for sure. My daughter has a friend from college visiting this week and I drove them into SF today and I white knuckled it the whole way in. It was pouring! Luckily by the time we got there and parked it cleared up a bit and we were able to walk around. The ride home was clear thank goodness. We so need the rain but this hard is causing a bit of havoc. Stay well. XO- MaryJo
Yes… driving in a hard down-pour is so scary! I’m glad you all made it safely! Yes… there isn’t real flooding happening in my area, but I’m glad for other areas that should get a break until Saturday.
Thank you so much for featuring my post. I never knew ‘prezzies’ was just a UK word. You learn something new everyday, as they say.
Hehe… there were several other phrases and words you used that were different than here in the States. So fun to read your post!
Julie,
Glad you are getting rain there but stay safe!!
Thanks so much for hosting this delightful party each and every week!! I really appreciate the time and effort that goes into it along with visiting all the links and choosing Features!!! Thank You!! Stay safe, healthy and happy!!
Hugs,
Deb
We are careful here when it rains. We are so thankful that God is our Protector and Provider!
Wow, a lot of rain! Here in Missouri, we’re having a nice, mild January for us. We could get up to 60 degrees today, which is NOT typical. It’s usually really cold and dreary. So, I appreciate it! Have a great rest of your week!
Thanks, Pam. Right now, we have some sun, but not much. Rain should return on Saturday, but we’ll see! You have a great week, too!
HAPPY NEW YEAR and THANK YOU, Julie, for hosting a fabulous linky party every week. CHEERS!
Creatively, Beth
Happy new year to you, too, Beth! Hugs!
After posting an older V-Day post (and Pinterest Challenge) I went back and read the guidelines again. Does that qualify as a round up? If so, please delete it or I can. I don’t like breaking the rules! Thanks for the party. I’m sorta kinda getting back into the groove! lol.
It’s fine… no worries. We are more concerned about round-up shopping posts. 🙂 Hugs, and thanks for being so considerate.
Thanks for hosting!
We love having you!
Thanks for hosting another amazing party! So much inspiration is gathered here each week. Appreciate you and your co-host’s efforts!
Thanks for joining us again, Meredith!
Thanks for the party Julie! Katie has been keeping me up to date on the weather out there. She’s excited to see the “green” return but we are all praying for those dealing with mudslides and flooding! Thanks again and Happy New Year to all of you!
Yes… we are supposed to dry out the next couple days, but we’ll see what the Lord has planned. Right now, it’s blue skies and sun!
Thank you so much for hosting!
So good to see you this week, Laura!
Thanks so much for hosting, Julie! I appreciate all you do!!
We appreciate you, too!
Thanks for a great party! So many good recipes and inspiration!
Thank you, Linda! So happy to see you with us this week!
