TUESDAY TURN ABOUT #301 PROJECT PALOOZA

At last week’s party, I took a little break…

Welcome to the 300s!

It’s party #301 here at Tuesday Turn About!

And we are celebrating #300 AND #301 with 24 features… 12 from party #299, and 12 from #300!

We have a boatload of recipes, projects, DIYs, kids crafts and more! Something for everyone!

Abode Adventures

Last week, the party was cut short because I thought I might be coming down with a bug. It ended up being sheer exhaustion, and I’m feeling much better this week!

Easter was a busy time, with my whole family PLUS! We had about 40 people gather for Easter at my sister’s home. The day included cold cut sliders with yummy sides, an Easter egg hunt in the backyard, and most of us went to the morning service at our respective churches.

Jelly bean #5 ended up flipping over a blow-up teeter totter and dislocating his elbow. His parents weren’t sure whether it was broken, sprained, or dislocated, so they ended up the in the ER. Praise God, the ER was COMPLETELY empty, with 4 triage nurses waiting in the lobby for work. The doctor quickly assessed the situation, and the “nurse-maid’s elbow” was popped back into place. My daughter and SIL have been told that Jasper will have a propensity to this type of dislocation until around 5 years old. (This is the second time it has happened.)

All is well… but then…

Thirty minutes after arriving home from the ER, my SIL’s parents left and promptly got into an accident leaving the neighborhood! Everyone is safe, and we are still waiting to hear about the car.

This last week has been a bit more quiet, with just one hitch. A violent bout of food poisoning. Ugh!

My teeth and gums are also adjusting to the new crowns. (And I think I found another issue with another tooth on the opposite side. 🙄)

With all that, I DID end up getting a DIY project done! With pictures and everything! How to modify a shower curtain for a tiny shower is coming soon!

My Wee Finds

A couple week ago, I went on the hunt for some odor-resistant dish cloths, and I think I found a winner! These Oggi Bambou Odor-Free Kitchen Washcloths are soft, just the right size, AND, I have yet to have an odor problem with them! They even have a loop to easily hang on a hook to dry!

One of the health issues I struggle with is dry, peeling skin around my finger tips. I cannot remember NOT ever having this issue, and moisturizers seem to make it worse. Until now! I have been using Derma E Rosehip and Almond Anti-Aging Shea Body Lotion, and it’s actually helping. I believe the Vegan Flora-Collagen, Retinol and Vitamin E Moisturizer has been the gamechanger for me.

Do you have wavy/curly hair? My daughter and granddaughters do, and they LOVE this Wet Brush Original Detangler Hair Brush!

Weekly Household Tip

Using the slow cooker/crockpot is a gamechanger for cooking chuck roasts! You don’t even have to brown the meat (but if you do, it’s even yummier)!

Just slather the roast with some olive oil, thyme, rosemary, parsley, minced garlic, and salt and pepper (LOTS of salt). Then add 1 cup of beef broth to the pot, place the roast in the pot with one onion (cut in chunks) on top of the roast. Turn the crockpot on low and cook for 7-9 hours… check it at seven hours and then every hour after that until your desired center temp is reached!

Let’s start sharing! Because this is a party, we encourage all who link up to visit several other bloggers who have linked as well – comments and pins are a great way to spread the love!

Before you get started, take a look at our guidelines:

  • This party is for home decor, home-related posts, and family-related posts only (recipes, organizing, DIY, crafts, travel, education, etc.). Link up to 3 related posts. Please do not link up informational posts that do not relate to the topic.
  • If you would please not link up shops, advertising, round-ups, other link parties, or any posts promoting sales, we would appreciate it.
  • DO NOT PIN FROM IMAGES ON THIS PAGE (it just won’t work right on Pinterest). However, please visit the original post/source and pin from there. That works perfectly!
  • Please make sure that your images are in a jpeg or png format. If we can’t save your image, we may not be able to feature you. So sad!
  • By linking to the party, you give us permission to share your projects on our blogs and social media, with the use of ONE photo from your blog for that may be included in a pinnable collage. We will always give proper credit with a no-pin image.

WHEW! Now THAT was a BIG party! And so fun, too! Can’t wait to see all your posts this coming week!

Did I mention that Hobby Lobby has fall decor out already? And don’t get me started on the Christmas ornaments above the shelves… and trees in the back! No joke!
