TUESDAY TURN ABOUT #255 SUMMER AND OLD GLORY

Want more inspo for a patriotic summer? Take a look at last week’s party.

Let’s welcome in June with a party, shall we?

We’ve got lots of summer and red-white-and-blue for you!

This past week’s link-ups included lots of summer fun, Father’s Day, and, of course, July 4th! Plenty of time to be prepared for all that’s coming in the days, weeks, and months ahead!

But first…

Abode Adventures

This last week, I was feeling extremely punky. Like the worst I’ve ever felt. I’m planning on getting some blood work done, as well as some lifestyle changes.

I’m reading some really good books (I’ll share below), as well as praying and reading the Word. Asking for the Lord’s guidance in this situation. Thankful HE is faithful, even when I am not.

There was a plan in place for a new post this past week, but I just couldn’t get it done. So, the post is now done, and I’m working on a second. Hopefully, both new posts will be out this week!

My Wee Finds

The three books I’m reading for my devotions, along with the Bible are:

All three books are solidly biblical and use Scripture throughout.

Recently, the water filter for the trailer had to be taken off, and I’m noticing a difference, specifically with my skin. So, I ordered a filtered shower head, hoping it will help. Has anyone had experience with these?

Another item I needed was an ice bin for my tiny freezer. They aren’t easy to come by, but I finally found the madesmart Fridge Organizer Bin. It’s perfect! I’ve ordered several madesmart products since moving into MWA, including a silverware tray and another organizing tray.

Weekly Household Tip

Do you have mini-blinds that need a thorough cleaning?

Take an old (or not-so-old) sock dipped in 50% hot water and 50% vinegar, wring out the sock and slip it on your hand. Wipe your blinds down and watch that stubborn dust wash away!

Weekly Blogging Tip

Be sure to test your blog in different browsers, or at least check mobile AND desktop view before/after publishing. This will show you if images are being viewed properly by your readers and headings, etc., are displaying correctly.

Now, let’s get to some features!

Though not a requirement at all, I would be SO blessed if you would subscribe and/or follow me either here on the blog, Facebook, Pinterest, or Instagram. Thanks!

Enjoying Poetry with Young Children

When I was homeschooling my children, I exposed them to different types of poetry, and even had them do some memorization of poems. This was largely due to the fact that we used much of Charlotte Mason type techniques in our schooling, just like Elena from Beautiful Hope. Elena is sharing the how’s and why’s of teaching the beauty of poetry with your (grand) children. It’s a lovely post!

Check out our Tuesday Turn About Link Party Pinterest board! All featured posts are pinned to this board each week, IF you have a pinnable image!

Let’s start sharing! Because this is a party, we encourage all who link up to visit several other bloggers who have linked as well – comments and pins are a great way to spread the love!

Before you get started, take a look at our guidelines:

  • This party is for home decor, home-related posts, and family-related posts only (recipes, organizing, DIY, crafts, travel, education, etc.). Link up to 3 related posts. Please do not link up informational posts that do not relate to the topic.
  • If you would please not link up shops, advertising, round-ups, other link parties, or any posts promoting sales, we would appreciate it.
  • DO NOT PIN FROM IMAGES ON THIS PAGE (it just won’t work right on Pinterest). However, please visit the original post/source and pin from there. That works perfectly!
  • Please make sure that your images are in a jpeg or png format. If we can’t save your image, we may not be able to feature you. So sad!
  • By linking to the party, you give us permission to share your projects on our blogs and social media, with the use of ONE photo from your blog for that may be included in a pinnable collage. We will always give proper credit with a no-pin image.

I hope you all have a great first week of June! 2024 is almost half-way through! What in the world?! Can’t wait to see what you are sharing for the summer!

  8. Julie, Thanks as always for being a wonderful hostess on your Tuesday Turnabout Link Party. I’m so sorry to hear you are not feeling well. So glad you are going in for blood work, etc. In case the doctor doesn’t think of it, you may want them to include a thyroid test, because even a small imbalance can have a great affect on how you feel or at least it did for me. I remember telling my doctor I was about 10% of my usual self. Praying for solutions for your health. Take Care, Patty
