Tuesday Turn About #349 Spring Fever: The party is back, and we have spring-time decor, recipes, crafts and more!

TUESDAY TURN ABOUT #349 SPRING FEVER

At the last party, we shared some ideas for April.

Welcome back to the party!

Last week, I had some technical difficulties, so the party was visible in the morning, but disappeared by the late morning! (I explain why, so keep reading. 😉 )

So, this week, we will have the normal 12 features, since I didn’t have last week to choose from!

Let’s take a look at some posts that are sure to give us spring fever!

Abode Adventures

Week before last, just before we left for Big Bear, I decided it would be a good time to migrate my site from one provider to another. Boy, was I wrong!

I’ll spare you the details, but suffice to say, I had TTA all ready to go for everyone to link-up, and then the post disappeared shortly after it went live!

When my new provider told me the migration was complete, they neglected to inform me that another step had to be processed in order for the site to work correctly. SO, the post was written while my previous provider was still supporting my site. When I canceled my subscription with them, they deleted everything from my renewal date on. Of course, the post was written the day after my renewal date, and my new provider had not completed their process.

You learn something new everyday! (Thank you all for being so patient! And so sorry to those that linked up last week… we had quite a few people that hadn’t visited in a while!)

Today was my first day!!!

At the Hobby Lobby Huntington Beach!

Everything went well!

My new manager is wonderful! I actually teared-up watching her love on our customers today. AND, we had a STAFF MEETING! Never had one of those at my former store!

Lots of differences, but much is the same, so I felt comfortable doing my work. I have to get ‘bonded’ in order to be a CSM, so my background check is in the works. Official CSM training should start next week! In the meantime, I’m getting to know the customers at the register.

My Wee Finds

Okay… So here are the blouses that were keepers out of the 20 I ordered!

Weekly Household Tip

This is more of a fun suggestion, than a household tip.

Have you tried diamond art yet?

It’s easy, affordable, and so therapeutic. I’ve finished several smaller, beginner projects, but now I’m working on a large one… about 45 minutes every night before bed! It’s so fun! (And did I mention super easy???)

Now, let’s get to the party!

Though not a requirement at all, I would be SO blessed if you would subscribe and/or follow me either here on the blog, Facebook, Pinterest, or Instagram. Thanks!

Let’s start sharing! Because this is a party, we encourage all who link up to visit several other bloggers who have linked as well – comments and pins are a great way to spread the love!

Before you get started, take a look at our guidelines:

  • This party is for home decor, home-related posts, and family-related posts only (recipes, organizing, DIY, crafts, travel, education, etc.). Link up to 3 related posts. Please do not link up informational posts that do not relate to the topic.
  • If you would please not link up shops, advertising, round-ups, other link parties, or any posts promoting sales, we would appreciate it.
  • DO NOT PIN FROM IMAGES ON THIS PAGE (it just won’t work right on Pinterest). However, please visit the original post/source and pin from there. That works perfectly!
  • Please make sure that your images are in a jpeg or png format. If we can’t save your image, we may not be able to feature you. So sad!
  • By linking to the party, you give us permission to share your projects on our blogs and social media, with the use of ONE photo from your blog for that may be included in a pinnable collage. We will always give proper credit with a no-pin image.

Now, let’s see what you have to share this week! I know this is always a reader favorite, because I have quite a bit of click throughs from the newsletter… more than I have link-ups! Woot!

  1. I missed a week because I was on vacation. What is a CSM and why did you transfer stores? My friend does diamond art. She found it very therapeutic while going through cancer treatments. I think it’s very pretty but I don’t know what I’d do with the item when I was finished. Thanks for the shirt recommendations. I put a few on my wish list.

    1. I hope you had a wonderful vacation! Where did you go?

A CSM is a customer service manager. I will be managing the cashiers and the front end of the store. It’s what I’ve wanted to do, and what all the CSMs and my assistant managers at my first store wanted for me. However, my store manager had different ideas. So, my manager said feel free to contact the other store managers in the area because he didn’t see any FT work for me in the future (I’m leaving out some details on purpose). So I called or visited the managers in the area and none of them had anything. So… I prayed… and asked the Lord to show me where he wanted me, and what he wanted me to do. Two weeks later (and three days after I started praying that specific prayer), I got a call for a FT CSM position at a store that is a 30-minute drive (which was my limit for commuting). Because of all the changes in blogging, my income here at MWA has been cut drastically, and I need to go back to FT work… and I didn’t want to go back to corporate America.

In one day at the new job, I can see so many differences… one of which, I have a manager that loves people! What a blessing! And everyone speaks well of her! Plus, once I am bonded and start the FT position (there is a PT transition period), I will get a hefty raise and really good benefits!

I bet that was more of an answer than you expected! (And I even edited my first reply! LOL!) 😉

  2. Julie,
Very happy to hear that your new job seems to be going well…My sister does diamond art…It is too tedious for me and since I am looking at cataract surgery next year, it is too much for my eyes….It is beautiful though…
    My Entries for today’s party are # 11, 12 and 16!!
Thanks so much for hosting!! I really appreciate the time and effort that goes into it along with visiting all the links!! I hope you are enjoying your week and you are doing well…

    1. I can understand the tedious part on the eyes. I have the project VERY well lit, and I don’t have cataracts, so I’m sure that would be a hindrance. Thanks for joining in each week, my friend!

  3. Thanks for hosting us all, Julie and for your perseverance in getting everything to work! I hope you had a fabulous time with family and I wish you good luck in your new position. Sounds like a wonderful fit!

    1. Thanks, Laura… I’ve already observed so many things to be thankful for in the new position. We had a blast in Big Bear. So relaxing! And my little granddaughter had the perfect open floor plan to get lots of her new steps in, and then start putting two words together at the same time! She had a HUGE neurological and physical jump, and it was so fun to watch! The olders were so blessed by the time. They keep saying how relaxing it was!

    1. Thanks for another great party Julie. I’m so glad you enjoyed my garden post & I appreciate the feature. The new job sounds great & love all the new blouses. Curious to know what provider you use. I always wonder if I’m using the best resources. XO- MaryJo

      1. I’ve started using DreamHost… but if I could have afforded it, I would have kept with BigScoots. They are wonderful!

  4. Ahh the challenge of tech – especially when someone else is doing it for you! I’m glad you figured it out and came out reasonably unscathed on the other side! Thanks as always for hosting, and congrats again on your new position. It sounds like a great place for you! Take care till next time!

  5. Thanks for hosting another Link Party – I always enjoy reading what others are doing & seeing their latest WIP.

Thanks also for featuring my Floribunda Coffee Coaster.

    Have a funtastic week, ahead!

  6. Julie, I hope you were able to get everything straightened out with your site providers!! Soooo frustrating, especially when not all of us are code savvy (myself). I had a hard time moving to WordPress from Blogger and Weebly before that. I was double writing for a while, plus a lot of copy/paste. I think it’s easier now. 😉

Anyway, saw your messages and thought I’d get over for once and link up: #85 & #86. Garden stuff.

Hope you have a better weekend!
    Spring hugs,
    Barb 🙂

    1. So good to see you here, Barbara! Yes… it was difficult, and I still need to do some cleaning up, but I’m quite busy adjusting to my new work schedule. It will get done soon!
