Homestyle Gathering 17 Your Homekeeping Destination

Spread the love

It’s week 17 of Homestyle Gathering, your homekeeping destination!  We are so glad to be sharing some of the best blog posts for home decor, diys, recipes, projects and more!

HOMESTYLE GATHERING 17 | YOUR HOMEKEEPING DESTINATION

Welcome, everyone! I’m so blessed to have each and every one of you with us again this week!  It’s because of bloggers and readers, like YOU, that make this party so much fun!

Every week we feature five bloggers that have joined us from the past week. Link as many as three posts, each having to do with anything ‘home-keeping’, and you just may be featured… if not this week, maybe the next!

And remember, linking-up also gives us the opportunity to ask a guest host to join us every 4 weeks (or so).

I had such a good time visiting each post this week! So much inspiration and so many new friends!

This week’s host is Kim from Serving Up Southern!

Welcome to Homestyle Gathering!

Happy May, and welcome to Homestyle Gathering! Kim here, I’ve picked out some pretty, and tasty looking, features for this week’s party. If you want to be inspired, grow your blog, or hang out with friends this is the place to be. So please, look around HG and visit the links. Our fellow partiers share some great stuff!

And now for this week’s features:

I love watching the Kentucky Derby, and I know it was this past Saturday, but I still had to include this beautiful tablescape by Coco at The Crowned Goat. Her collection of vintage equestrian finds sets the tone for this setting. And even though red is the traditional color for the flowers in the KD, the neutrals she uses works wonderfully.

Have you seen these flower pots with this faux zinc finish on them? Lisa from The Purple Hydrangea shares how she created this lovely look. I really can’t get enough of these.Flower pots that have been painted to look like they have a zinc finish.

How about these white slipcovers? I love how Kippi from Kippi at Home redid her thrifted chairs in this beautiful white denim. Seeing this is perfect timing as I’m looking to reupholster a chair of my own.Two chairs that have been updated with a new crisp white slipcovers.

This cabinet door turned chalkboard is such a neat idea! Paula from Virginia Sweet Pea shares how she did this in a step-by-step tutorial. I love how the cup pull turned upside down creates a little bowl to hold the chalk.Cabinet door turned into a chalkboard with hooks underneath.

I’m just going to admit this; I have an instant pot (still in the box) in my pantry that I have had for almost two years. And since corn on the cob is one of my very favorite summer foods this recipe from Susan at Crafting a Family has inspired me enough to pull out that instant pot and give this method a try.
