WELCOME TO TUESDAY TURN ABOUT LINK PARTY #39- Farmhouse Touches
You can check out our last party here!
We had a busy week here at MWA… again!
My aunt and uncle from Florida just left yesterday morning. It was fun sharing My Wee Abode as a temporary Air BNB for them, and I think they enjoyed it, too! We had lots of fun talking, laughing, and visiting local restaurants that are not in Florida. #ughstaycationweight It was a blessed week in spite of…
During my niece’s labor and delivery on March, 1, her blood pressure decided to skyrocket. There was quite a bit of concern during the labor process, but the delivery went well. However, since my little great-niece came into the world, her mommy’s blood pressure continues to be stubborn. An additional three-day stay in the hospital this week (she was re-admitted after going home for a day) was difficult and taxing, only for the blood pressure issues to immediately return when she got home the second time! The doctors are now treating her ‘over-the-phone’ so she can stay home, relax, and try to work through it. The Lord knows exactly what is happening in her body, and we rest in knowing He is sovereign and already has this situation ‘completed’. Please pray that Bekka would be healed quickly and that the doctors would care for her the very best way.
Whew! THAT was a mouthful, and maybe more than you wanted to know. 😉 Let’s take a look at some features from last week’s party. Gotta love some farmhouse style (even if it is a bit more modern farmhouse).
Make sure to hop on over to Thistle Key Lane and Bluesky at Home and check out SIX additional features from TTA! If you haven’t been featured at MWA this week, you just may be featured there!
Remember…
Check out our Tuesday Turn About Link Party Pinterest board! All NINE featured posts are pinned to this board each week!

This Week’s Features:
Modern Farmhouse Laundry with a Pop
This modern farmhouse style laundry room is from A Nod to Navy! Don’t you love the floral wallpaper Tiffany used to add a pop to this lovely room? I would want to do laundry every day in here!
Layering Farmhouse Style
Learn how to make this gorgeous European inspired cake stand over at The Crowned Goat. Coco not only shares how to make this pedestal, but she also shows us how easy it is to add farmhouse style with layers. All the happy sighs!
Farmhouse Hutch Makeover
In the past, I’ve mentioned my antique baker’s cabinet that I want to makeover. Here’s a great makeover from Michelle at The Painted Hinge. Michelle’s farmhouse hutch was painted with a lovely shade of white chalk paint and then vintage-look hardware was added. She shares the complete tutorial over on her blog! Love those farmhouse decor touches!
Now It’s Your Turn! Link Away!
Let’s start sharing! Because this is a party, we encourage all who link up to visit several other bloggers who have linked as well – comments and pins are a great way to spread the love!
Before you get started, take a look at our guidelines:
- This party is for home decor and home-related posts only (recipes, organizing, DIY, crafts, etc.). Link up to 3 related posts. Please do not link up informational posts that do not relate to the topic.
- If you would please not link up shops, advertising, round-ups, other link parties, or any posts promoting sales, we would appreciate it.
- DO NOT PIN FROM IMAGES ON THIS PAGE (it just won’t work right on Pinterest). However, please visit the original post/source and pin from there. That works perfectly!
- By linking to the party, you give us permission to share your projects on our blogs and social media. We will always give proper credit with a no-pin image.
It’s always fun anticipating what will be shared each week! Be sure to tell your friends about the party so they can inspire and be inspired, too!
Julie, prayers for your niece and her family. I hope she recovers quickly so she can spend 100% of her thoughts on her sweet bundle of joy!
Thanks, Pamela… The Lord has given her amazing strength through this, and she is on the mend! Yay!
I didn’t realize that you were hosting your aunt and uncle at My Wee Abode. You must need a vacation from your staycation! I’ll be praying for your niece to return to good health so that she can enjoy her new baby.
Thank you for hosting!
Yes… it’s been so crazy, we haven’t even had time to talk! Bekka is doing better… we are very thankful!
Terrific features Julie! Thank you for hostiing this lovely party despite your busy week! Hope Bekka is doing alright – it is hard enough adjusting to a newborn without other health issues!
Thank, Lori… Bekka is doing much better, thank you! We hope she is back to ‘normal’ very soon!
I hope your niece will be much better soon. That has to be tough to be a new mother and have additional health issues. Prayers sent. Thanks for the party, Julie. I love those farmhouse features.
Thank you, Bev… I’m thankful that she IS doing much better! Hugs!
Praying that Bekkah heals soon and can enjoy her new baby!
Thanks for hosting!

Thanks, Melissa! She is doing so much better! Woot!
Julie, sounds like a bot of a stressful week. I hope your niece is doing better each day. My grand niece had preeclampsia and delivered my first great-great niece at 26 weeks. Both are miraculously well now, 9 mos later. God is so very good, and I will say a prayer for your niece. THank you for hosting us. Get some rest!
It’s been a bit crazy, Rita… but, I think it is leveling out now. Whew! Sounds like your niece had it bad. I’m glad they are both doing well now! I was bedridden at 3 months gestation with my first with preeclampsia. However, mine went away with delivery. Bekka is now doing better, but not quite ‘normal’ yet. We are thankful the Lord uses modern meds to help us… He is always good! 😉
Families bring all kinds of stress — both the good and the not-so-good. Hope your week gets better.
Things are going much better! I even got a post out last night! Woot! Bekka is feeling much better, too! Yay!
Thank you for hosting! This is what I featured the week of 3-2 to 3-6 on my blog. On Tuesday was Oprah Winfrey’s Deviled Eggs. Wednesday was my grandma’s favorite Egg Salad. Thursday was an Easter Egg Bread Ring. And winding up Egg Week was Part of my Tip Friday series How To Peel Hard Boiled Eggs Hands Free. Enjoy!
Always glad to see you, Marilyn!
Thank you Julie for hosting the link party! I hope your niece continues to recover and gets to savor every moment of being a new mom. Wishing you a good and restful week!
So happy to have you here, Kristi! Thank you for your kind thoughts… Bekka is doing much better!

Bekka is doing much better, Barb… we are thankful for the Lord’s provision through modern medicine and hope she is back to ‘normal’, soon! Hugs!
I’m sorry to hear about your niece. Glad you had fun with company. I love that farmhouse hutch. It gives me the itch to paint mine white but hubby would kill me. ha ha! Thanks for the party.
LOL! My mantra is “paint it white”… my fam laughs at me. Thanks for the well wishes, Amy. Bekka is on the mend!

Thanks for the feature! I hope your niece continues to rest and get better- keeping her in our prayers! 🙂
Thanks, Tiffany… she actually is doing much better, though still having to take the BP meds. Hopefully, she can get off those soon!
That is scary; prayers for your niece! I’m glad she’s at least able to be home with her new baby. I hope they get her blood pressure under control soon.
Things are looking much better, and Bekka actually can feel the difference. I don’t think she realized how the high BP was affecting her overall sense of feeling well! Thanks, Joanne!
Thanks for hosting!
Thank you for joining us, Amber!
Thanks so much for the sweet feature, Julie! I appreciate you so much. Spring and Fall are my two favorite seasons of the entire year so it’s been fun to decorate for them! Hope your week has been a fun one, hugs, CoCo
Well, I’m now on the lookout for some detailed light covers! LOL! 😉
Definitely a scary time for your family with your niece Julie. I do hope she is recovering well now and enjoying this special time.
