Tuesday Turn About #294 Irish Luck
Tuesday Turn About #294 Irish Luck: At today’s party, we are celebrating the luck of the Irish and St. Patrick’s day with recipes, crafts, and decor inspo!
TUESDAY TURN ABOUT #294 IRISH LUCK
Last week’s party, we kicked off a new month.
We’re starting this party off with a bang!
Are you ready?

We are just about one week away from St. Patrick’s Day! Personally, I’ve never decorated for this lucky holiday. However, since working at Hobby Lobby, I have witnessed just how many DO love all the green decor! So fun!
So, since next week’s TTA lands on the day AFTER St. Paddy’s Day, let’s celebrate THIS week, shall we?
We’ve got decor ideas, crafts for the kids, some special recipes, and a couple of really adorable tablescapes for this Irish celebration!
Abode Adventures
This week, my cousin and I visited the Rose Bowl Flea Market. The market includes new items, as well as a very large area for used and vintage items. I picked up a pair of new sterling silver earrings with some pretty white stones as well as a vintage Pyrex freezer box in the print that I collect. It even had a lid that was in perfect condition!
My hours at Hobby Lobby are being cut to four days a week. This is good news, as I will have time to work on MWA (the trailer) AND work on my time management to get more blog content to YOU! Even after a six hour shift, I’m SO tired, it’s hard to get much done when I get home. Hopefully, more rest will help with that situation!

My Wee Finds
I’m getting ready to sew a few baby blankets this week. One more for each of the new granddaughters and one for my oldest granddaughter.
Avia is going on seven years old and still loves her blanket that my mom made her, but it is starting to literally wear thin all over the place. So, we went shopping a couple weeks ago and she picked out fabric and trim for a new blanket that I will be making her.
I’ll be getting out my trusty Fiskars Rotary Cutting Set that makes the first steps of trimming and straightening the edges of the fabric super simple.
Weekly Household Tip
Now that strawberries are back in season, one of my fave treats at night is strawberries dipped in almond butter. Try it… you might like it!
Weekly Blogging Tip
Don’t forget to pin your plain (ones without banners) photos on your blog to Pinterest. And make sure they have a Pinterest description as well as a photo description when you upload them to your blog!
Though not a requirement at all, I would be SO blessed if you would subscribe and/or follow me either here on the blog, Facebook, Pinterest, or Instagram. Thanks!

Check out our Tuesday Turn About Link Party Pinterest board! All featured posts are pinned to this board each week, IF you have a pinnable image!

Let’s start sharing! Because this is a party, we encourage all who link up to visit several other bloggers who have linked as well – comments and pins are a great way to spread the love!
Before you get started, take a look at our guidelines:
- This party is for home decor, home-related posts, and family-related posts only (recipes, organizing, DIY, crafts, travel, education, etc.). Link up to 3 related posts. Please do not link up informational posts that do not relate to the topic.
- If you would please not link up shops, advertising, round-ups, other link parties, or any posts promoting sales, we would appreciate it.
- DO NOT PIN FROM IMAGES ON THIS PAGE (it just won’t work right on Pinterest). However, please visit the original post/source and pin from there. That works perfectly!
- Please make sure that your images are in a jpeg or png format. If we can’t save your image, we may not be able to feature you. So sad!
- By linking to the party, you give us permission to share your projects on our blogs and social media, with the use of ONE photo from your blog for that may be included in a pinnable collage. We will always give proper credit with a no-pin image.
Such a fun week of everything green (and minty?) at the party! Can’t wait to see all the spring decor and Easter fun coming our way!

Thank you for hosting! I hope you have a great week.
You, too, Steph!

Thanks for joining! Hugs!
Thanks, Julie! Glad your schedule will be a little more manageable. And, thanks for the tip about pinning the plain photos. I haven’t been doing that!
You are so welcome for the tip. I know this works well for many others, and it seems to work well for me, too!
Julie, so many fun St Pat’s Day things to do and enjoy. Thanks for hosting, and can’t wait to see the blankets you are going to make. Take care.
Thanks, Melynda… you can see some of them in the post that I linked here at the party. 😉 I’ll be sure to take pics of the new ones and add them!
I hope you’ll share your baby blankets with us once you’ve finished them, Julie! How lucky your Littles will be! Thanks for hosting us all! Have a great week!
I’m going to be updating the post for how to make them with new photos and some updates for the sewing machine settings. A dear friend who is a professional seamstress gave me some tips and now the blankets are pretty near perfect! 😉
Thanks for featuring my Leprechaun Tablescape! I appreciate it! I added a link to your blog at the end of that post. Have a great day!
Thanks so much, Beth! It’s adorable, and love the vintage centerpiece!
Hi Julie! Thanks for another fun party and I appreciate the feature. I’m glad you liked my St. Patrick’s Day milk glass decor. I’m happy to hear they cut down your hours. Work life balance is so important. Have a great week. XO- Maryjo
So funny… my boss called yesterday afternoon. Seems he made a scheduling error and wanted me to take a shift today. Unfortunately/fortunately, I already made plans to make blankets today. It will be a fun project to do while listening to the rain outside!
Thanks for having us over, Julie. Those baby blankets sound wonderful!!!
Thanks, Debra. I’m working on the blankets today, while it’s pouring outside!
Let’s give a huge shoutout to Julie for hosting this amazing link-up! Hope your day and week are as fabulous as you are. Lucky girls to get a lovingly made blanket.
Here’s what I’m sharing this week: #37+38. Take a look!

Awww, thanks so much, Esme. I love making blankets for the girls. I’m getting ready to start on them this morning.
I noticed lately that my photos only ask for the alt text. So when you said – Pinterest description as well as a photo description – where do i find that? Thanks for the party friend!
I use Tasty Pins… it’s $49 each year, and it gives an option to add Pinterest description and the photo description. It’s in the media library, when you click on the photo. With Tasty Pins, it’s all in one area, except the ‘Disable Pinning’ box is now in the photo block. Again, the “Disable Pinning” box is only with Tasty Pins. I think it is totally worth it!
