Tuesday Turn About #310 Last Minute Patriotic Fun: Here are some last minute treats and tips for your July 4th celebration.
TUESDAY TURN ABOUT #310 LAST MINUTE PATRIOTIC FUN
Last week’s party featured some summer holiday fun.
Well, hello, July!
And welcome, everyone, to the party!

It’s the first day of July, and the 4th is literally just days away!
Are you ready?
Well, today we have some treats that you can make for your get-together, or take to your family and friends’ homes. Or, if you are having a quiet and relaxing day at home, why not whip up a treat for yourself?!
We also have a bonus feature today. It’s not patriotic, necessarily, but it IS all about summer… and it’s free!
Abode Adventures
Last Monday, I had to go in ONE MORE TIME to the mechanic for my car’s AC… three times was the magic number. My AC is finally working for more than two days in a row!
Tomorrow, I go in for my permanent replacement crown. Prayers are appreciated, as I’ve not been able to bite down at all on the temporary. Not sure WHAT is going on. Sigh.
And they are finished!
The kitchen cabinets are FINALLY done! (Can you hear the angels singing?!!!)
Pictures are taken and I’m working on a kitchen progress post now! The backsplash/counter/floors are still in their original state, but the votes were read and a progress post is in the works.
So much to share, and so little time! (Seriously.)
What are YOU doing for the 4th?
Let me know in the comments what YOUR plans are!
Me? I’m working an 8-hour shift. The whole team is scheduled for 8-hours that day! I’ll be off in time to run to my daughter’s home, eat a couple hot dogs, and sit in the house with my 3-year-old grandson who has recently become scared of ‘all-the-things’. His sister was the same way at his age… it lasted just the one year.

My Wee Finds
My next pair of barefoot shoes will be these cute HobiBear brand. This style is extra wide, which is what my “flippers” require!
Do you enjoy table and card games? My family does! The next one on my list is called Smug Owls. It’s a riddle game that kinda works like Apples-to-Apples. Looks like fun!
I’m all over the place today with my finds. My favorite dish towels are made by KitchenAid. They are durable, absorbent, wash really well, and are pretty! My favorite color is Pistachio, but the green will clash with my kitchen now. Good excuse for some new ones? Might need to switch to the Mineral Water color (or gray).
Weekly Household Tip
Stainless steel pots and pans can be a pain to clean, even if you know how to cook with them. I’ve actually picked up a SS skillet at the thrift store and cleaned it up by using Bar Keepers Friend. I don’t use it every time, but it really make stainless steel shine!
Weekly Blogging Tip
Are you paying attention to your Pinterest boards? Be sure to add boards with similar key words, but different titles. I.e., “Grilled chicken skewers”, “grilled chicken recipes”, “skewer chicken recipes”. Then pin the same pin to each board… on different days!
No, let’s peruse for inspiration!
Though not a requirement at all, I would be SO blessed if you would subscribe and/or follow me either here on the blog, Facebook, Pinterest, or Instagram. Thanks!

Check out our Tuesday Turn About Link Party Pinterest board! All featured posts are pinned to this board each week, IF you have a pinnable image!

Let’s start sharing! Because this is a party, we encourage all who link up to visit several other bloggers who have linked as well – comments and pins are a great way to spread the love!
Before you get started, take a look at our guidelines:
- This party is for home decor, home-related posts, and family-related posts only (recipes, organizing, DIY, crafts, travel, education, etc.). Link up to 3 related posts. Please do not link up informational posts that do not relate to the topic.
- If you would please not link up shops, advertising, round-ups, other link parties, or any posts promoting sales, we would appreciate it.
- DO NOT PIN FROM IMAGES ON THIS PAGE (it just won’t work right on Pinterest). However, please visit the original post/source and pin from there. That works perfectly!
- Please make sure that your images are in a jpeg or png format. If we can’t save your image, we may not be able to feature you. So sad!
- By linking to the party, you give us permission to share your projects on our blogs and social media, with the use of ONE photo from your blog for that may be included in a pinnable collage. We will always give proper credit with a no-pin image.
I hope you all have a wonderful July 4th! (And just turn your eyes away from all the food-coloring for just this one day! 😉 )
I’m hoping to have a new post up on Saturday, if not sooner! Pray that I will manage my time well!
Thanks for being here, and I can’t wait to see all your summer and everyday posts!

Glad you got your air conditioner fixed. That’s no fun having to work on the 4th. What a bummer. Thanks for the party.
So happy you have a/c in your car again! My first car was a little Toyota with no a/c (and black interior.) I was young, so it never bothered me. Nowdays, I can’t tolerate the heat at all! I’ll pray about your tooth!
Not having AC is the worst, followed closely by having to have dental work done. So sorry you are having to deal with both. The 4th is going to be low key for us, as we are headed to the Bahamas the following weekend for a work trip. Have a lovely week!
Julie,
Thanks for stopping by!! I am looking forward to your post on your Kitchen!! We are celebrating the 4th on the 8th which is when my son and DIL are off…On the 5th and 6th i will be at my church helping out with our feast celebration…

Thanks so much for hosting this charming party!!! I truly do appreciate it as I do know the time involved with it….I hope you and your family are well and enjoying your week!

YAY for air conditioning! So glad you got it fixed! I know you have to work on the 4th but I’m glad you’ll be able to squeeze in a bit of family time with a few snuggles for extra measure! As always, thanks for a great party! Happy July!
Hi Julie! I’m so glad you got your AC fixed and will say a prayer for your tooth situation! Thank you so much for sharing our 4th of July party ideas and hosting. Enjoy the evening with your family! We’ll be watching fireworks from our driveway!!
Julie, so sorry you have to work on the 4th, but at least you’ll have AC en route. Ours will be quiet. I may be fiddling in my garden (sharing a secret path today (41). Thank you for the printable, including the feature dot to dot. How fun for littles!
Thanks for hosting, Julie! Happy 4th:)
