TUESDAY TURN ABOUT #309 SUMMER HOLIDAY FUN

Last week, we welcomed summer to the party!

Welcome to the party!

Shall we take a turn about the room?

This week, we have some wonderful recipes for your holiday celebration, plus some summer fun for everyone!

But before we ‘look around’, let’s update you and give you some tips!

Abode Adventures

The kitchen cabinets are finished being painted! PRAISE GOD!

Now, the hardware is soaking in the sink, ready to be scrubbed, primed, painted, and antiqued! Then the doors will be mounted, and we should see some pictures!

Question for you… Would you want to see the cabinets BEFORE the kitchen is completely done, or after? I have the backsplash and counters to do next.

I’m thinking I just need to bite the bullet and show you what is done so far. It’s taken SO long to get here, right?

My Wee Finds

We are getting ready to make the move to our new church location. The coffee ‘ministry’ needed a coffee maker for the move, so I purchased this Keurig K-Supreme Plus Single Serving coffee maker. I have this one at MWA, and I love it! It should do the trick for Sunday morning fellowship before church! 😉

This coffee pod holder and coffee station organizer was also purchased. Keeping the coffee maker and supplies in a compact, organized area is pretty important in our situation (we have to set-up and tear down every Sunday morning. The coffee supplies will be kept in my car during the week.)

And, just in case you missed these the last time I shared, these odor-free dish cloths are my new favorite. They really are odor resistant and made of 91% bamboo derived fiber. LOTS of colors to choose from, too! (Skip getting the white ones. They look awful once you’ve wiped up food spills. Ask me how I know this. 😉 )

Weekly Household Tip

Need some additional counter space in your kitchen?

Grab a large cutting board and place it on your stove top. This will not only give you additional counter space, but it will also give you an area to do food prep that you don’t have to worry about damaging. When not in use, simply place the cutting board on its edge, behind or on the side of the stove! Looks pretty, too!

Weekly Blogging Tip

When creating a pin for a post, be sure to include the wording “Full Instructions @ (blog name/url)”. This will help to let the reader know you can show them exactly how to do what is pictured on the pin.

Now, let’s party!

Though not a requirement at all, I would be SO blessed if you would subscribe and/or follow me either here on the blog, Facebook, Pinterest, or Instagram. Thanks!

Let’s start sharing! Because this is a party, we encourage all who link up to visit several other bloggers who have linked as well – comments and pins are a great way to spread the love!

Before you get started, take a look at our guidelines:

  • This party is for home decor, home-related posts, and family-related posts only (recipes, organizing, DIY, crafts, travel, education, etc.). Link up to 3 related posts. Please do not link up informational posts that do not relate to the topic.
  • If you would please not link up shops, advertising, round-ups, other link parties, or any posts promoting sales, we would appreciate it.
  • DO NOT PIN FROM IMAGES ON THIS PAGE (it just won’t work right on Pinterest). However, please visit the original post/source and pin from there. That works perfectly!
  • Please make sure that your images are in a jpeg or png format. If we can’t save your image, we may not be able to feature you. So sad!
  • By linking to the party, you give us permission to share your projects on our blogs and social media, with the use of ONE photo from your blog for that may be included in a pinnable collage. We will always give proper credit with a no-pin image.

Such a wonderful party this last week! Next week’s party will be the last party before July 4th, so bring on all the RWB posts you have!

  5. Congrats on finishing the cabinets, Julie! I’d love to see them! Also, that cutting board is such a great idea. I don’t have a huge amount of counter space, so I love that solution.

  8. I would love to see the kitchen process…so exciting! Thank you so much for featuring my thrift store find decoupage project. Have a great week!

  9. Show us the cabinets! That’s worth celebrating! I may have to buy those dish rags. I love cotton ones (those crocheted ones of old), but man, they get funky too quick, even with changing them out daily and soaking them. Thanks for the party and tips, Julie.

    1. Hope you like the new dish cloths! And I’m working on the post of the progress in the kitchen now. Thanks for ‘voting’, Rita!
