Tuesday Turn About #274 More October Fun: Fall is one of the fave times of year for many! This week, let’s have more October fun!

TUESDAY TURN ABOUT #274 MORE OCTOBER FUN

We had lots of tips and fun at last week’s party.

It’s mid-October, and we are having lots of fall fun at the party this week!

So much fun that we even have a baker’s dozen of features this week!

tuesday turn about banner new

This week, we have tablescapes, recipes, crafts, and even a sage-colored furniture-makeover (gotta keep with the theme, right?).

So, are you ready to get to it? Grab a mug of your fave drink and let’s peruse together!

Abode Adventures

Drum roll, please…

This week… I started painting my kitchen cabinets!!!

Can you believe it? (I can hardly!) The frames of the top cabinets are just about finished, and tomorrow I will start the bottom frames and take pics for a blog post.

Have to say, I’m lovin’ the color!

The Social Security Card…

… has still not arrived. Womp, womp. However, I did get an email this past Friday saying it had been mailed. Lord-willing, it arrives today or tomorrow. Please pray the job is still open. I know it will be if the Lord feels it’s best for me.

My Wee Finds

Since my cabinets are on the way to being finished, I figured I would purchase my backsplash material on Prime Day. This Stickgoo Peel-and-Stick Subway Tile looks great! Can’t wait to get it installed!

As I’ve mentioned before, I’m trying to live a healthier lifestyle these days, and food storage is one of those areas I’m focusing on. Instead of using plastic freezer bags for meal prep, these small glass storage containers should do the trick. They are freezer safe AND oven safe!

Since I’m hoping to start at Hobby Lobby this week…

…I’m fixin’ to up my makeup game that went by the wayside during 2020. Because my skin is ‘mature’, I find that eyeliner fades and doesn’t apply smoothly. I’m hoping this gel eyeliner from Almay will help! It’s also EWG.org approved! (Told you I’m working on my health. 😉 )

Weekly Household Tip

Do you hate stinky sponges as much as I do? Well, I found the answer, and it is a great scrubber, too. I found these Scrubbie Sponges at the county fair this year, and they have been a game-changer… seriously!

They come in all sorts of cute shapes and colors, but I just use the regular round ones that match my kitchen. (They make great “stocking stuffers” for grown children and grands… even your friends!)

Weekly Blogging Tip

So, as I’m perusing the posts each week here at the party, I’m still coming across quite a few sites that either don’t have a social share button for Pinterest, or their photos are not enabled to pin.

My suggestion is, be sure to have a social share plug-in enabled on your site. Also, double-check for a Pinterest icon that appears on your images, so your readers (and I) can save your post to Pinterest for later viewing. 🙂 If you don’t have the icon or share button, I can’t pin your post to the TTA Pinterest board. 🙁

Okay… let’s get to this party! It’s a biggun’!

Though not a requirement at all, I would be SO blessed if you would subscribe and/or follow me either here on the blog, Facebook, Pinterest, or Instagram. Thanks!

Let’s start sharing! Because this is a party, we encourage all who link up to visit several other bloggers who have linked as well – comments and pins are a great way to spread the love!

Before you get started, take a look at our guidelines:

  • This party is for home decor, home-related posts, and family-related posts only (recipes, organizing, DIY, crafts, travel, education, etc.). Link up to 3 related posts. Please do not link up informational posts that do not relate to the topic.
  • If you would please not link up shops, advertising, round-ups, other link parties, or any posts promoting sales, we would appreciate it.
  • DO NOT PIN FROM IMAGES ON THIS PAGE (it just won’t work right on Pinterest). However, please visit the original post/source and pin from there. That works perfectly!
  • Please make sure that your images are in a jpeg or png format. If we can’t save your image, we may not be able to feature you. So sad!
  • By linking to the party, you give us permission to share your projects on our blogs and social media, with the use of ONE photo from your blog for that may be included in a pinnable collage. We will always give proper credit with a no-pin image.

The party had an uptick in traffic last week! So fun! Let’s keep it going this week, shall we? 😉
