Tuesday Turn About #136 New Beginnings

Spread the love

We are starting a new ‘theme’ here at the party, along with two new hostesses! We are celebrating Tuesday Turn About #136 New Beginnings!

TUESDAY TURN ABOUT #136 New Beginnings

Last week, we said good-bye to two wonderful hostesses!

Welcome to the new and refreshed Tuesday Turn About!

After last week’s bittersweet good-byes to Michelle and Carol, we are excited to share some “new beginnings”!

The first refresh is our new TTA banner!

What do you think?

We wanted to go with something that would give a bit more of a ‘time period’ look, since the meaning of Tuesday Turn About gives a nod to the Regency era. The soft florals and pastels remind us of days-gone-by.

And Meet Our New Hostesses!

And now for our lovely new hostesses (drum-roll, please….)!

Meet Cindy from Reinvented Delaware!

Cindy has been a dear friend and fellow blogger for several years now. She specializes in renovating furniture and sharing home decor DIYs! Cindy even has a retail spot in a local shop in Delaware!

Be sure to check out the Reinvented Delaware Instagram and YouTube accounts. They are so fun!

Meet Lynne from My Family Thyme!

Lynne is my sweet friend who also was brave enough to be my roommate at the Haven Conference 2019! She truly is one of the sweetest people I know!

Lynne has been blogging since 2016 and loves to share home decor, DIYs, crafts, and more! She works full-time as an elementary school teacher and, just like me, hopes to be able to blog full-time after retirement!

On to the Party!

This week’s features will include more seasonal projects that are perfect for Valentine’s Day, too!

And remember…

Be sure to hop on over to My Family Thyme and Reinvented Delaware to check out SIX additional features from TTA!
If you haven’t been featured at MWA this week, you just may be featured there!

Weekly Household Tip

One thing that isn’t changing is our weekly tips! Be sure to visit each blog, each week, to get some great tips for the home (AND blogging)!

This week, I want to share a microwave oven cleaning tip. If you have some ‘cooked-on’ messes in your microwave, simply boil a bowl of water inside the microwave. Then take a cleaning cloth or paper towel and easily wipe away the mess! Voila!

Weekly Blogging Tip

Did you know that if you are using Gutenberg, you can ‘group’ blocks together? This way, you can make sure an ad doesn’t interrupt an image that you want to be immediately followed by a paragraph or links.

The Group Blocks option can be found by hovering over a block and clicking on the three dots on the right of the pop-up box. Click on “Group Block”. A ‘chain’ will now appear to the left of the pop-up window. Now, you can drag additional blocks into the first one and they will ‘become one’. Here’s a video from WP Apprentice with another easy way to create Group Block in Gutenberg!

Now let’s get to the party, and check out our new graphics!

Let’s start sharing! Because this is a party, we encourage all who link up to visit several other bloggers who have linked as well – comments and pins are a great way to spread the love!

Before you get started, take a look at our guidelines:

  • This party is for home decor and home-related posts only (recipes, organizing, DIY, crafts, etc.). Link up to 3 related posts. Please do not link up informational posts that do not relate to the topic.
  • If you would please not link up shops, advertising, round-ups, other link parties, or any posts promoting sales, we would appreciate it.
  • DO NOT PIN FROM IMAGES ON THIS PAGE (it just won’t work right on Pinterest). However, please visit the original post/source and pin from there. That works perfectly!
  • Please make sure that your images are in a jpeg or png format. If we can’t save your image, we may not be able to feature you. So sad!
  • By linking to the party, you give us permission to share your projects on our blogs and social media, with the use of ONE photo from your blog for that may be included in a pinnable collage. We will always give proper credit with a no-pin image.

How do you like the refreshed party?! Are Cindy and Lynne new bloggers to you? Be sure to visit their blogs to be truly inspired! And don’t forget to link up!
