Tuesday Turn About #160 Savory July
The party is poppin’… It’s Tuesday Turn About #160 Savory July.
TUESDAY TURN ABOUT #160 SAVORY JULY
We took a BIG bite out of last week’s party!
“Welcome, welcome to our show!” (Can anyone name where that quote comes from?)
I hope you’ve had a wonderful week! It looks like many may be on vacation or recuperating from July 4th! We didn’t have quite as many link-ups the past couple of weeks, but this is normal for July! We hope everyone is having a grand summer!

This week, I’m featuring some savory recipes (and great tips) from some of our fave bloggers.
During Prime Day, I actually picked up an air fryer, so I’m excited to find some wonderful recipes to use, and I’ve included one in my features today!
And don’t forget…
Be sure to hop on over to My Family Thyme and Reinvented Delaware to check out SIX additional features from TTA!
If you haven’t been featured at MWA this week, you just may be featured there!
Now, let’s take a look at some tips!

Weekly Household Tip
Well, I already gave away that I found an air fryer for a steal on Prime Day(s). Did you know that many of them (maybe all of them) need a heat resistant surface?
So, if you have a countertop that doesn’t do well with heat, be sure to pick up a heat resistant mat!

One thing I learned this past week is that air fryers also have settings for roasting, grilling, and even baking! Lois from Walking on Sunshine is sharing her air fryer recipe for chicken skewers! Looks like a winner to me!

Homemade Flour Tortillas with Coconut Oil
Kendra from A Proverbs 31 Wife is sharing her yummy recipe for flour tortillas! I love that she replaced the lard/oil with coconut oil… makes these a bit more healthy! 😉

Instant Pot Hard Boiled Eggs
Want to know how to make the perfect hard boiled eggs in your Instant Pot? Well, I do! Leslie from Lately Lamberts is giving us ALL her tips!

Check out our Tuesday Turn About Link Party Pinterest board! All featured posts are pinned to this board each week, IF you have a pinnable image!

Let’s start sharing! Because this is a party, we encourage all who link up to visit several other bloggers who have linked as well – comments and pins are a great way to spread the love!
Before you get started, take a look at our guidelines:
- This party is for home decor and home-related posts only (recipes, organizing, DIY, crafts, etc.). Link up to 3 related posts. Please do not link up informational posts that do not relate to the topic.
- If you would please not link up shops, advertising, round-ups, other link parties, or any posts promoting sales, we would appreciate it.
- DO NOT PIN FROM IMAGES ON THIS PAGE (it just won’t work right on Pinterest). However, please visit the original post/source and pin from there. That works perfectly!
- Please make sure that your images are in a jpeg or png format. If we can’t save your image, we may not be able to feature you. So sad!
- By linking to the party, you give us permission to share your projects on our blogs and social media, with the use of ONE photo from your blog for that may be included in a pinnable collage. We will always give proper credit with a no-pin image.
So many wonderful recipes… so little time to cook! But, it’s always fun to try something new, right?! What is on YOUR menu this week? (I have something yummy coming up for TWOsday, next week!)

Oooh can’t wait to see what recipes you make in your new air fryer! Those chicken skewers look like a fabulous place to start! Thanks as always for hosting the party Julie -I’m happy to be back! 🙂 Hope you and Mom are getting all settled into the new house!
We are getting settled in. Mom seems to be having a bit of a decline these last couple of weeks, but it’s to be expected. God is good, and giving me much grace. So glad to have you back, Barbara!
Thanks so much Julie! I hope you’re keeping cool!
I am sitting in the air-conditioned clubhouse… working. Hope you are staying cool, too, Jenna!
Yep, those chicken skewers look delish! Thanks for having us over, Julie. stay cool!
You are so welcome… so good to ‘see’ you, Debra!
yay for the new air fryer! ours is a household staple and my husband and sons even use it themselves. score! thanks for hosting, it’s my first time at your lovely party.
Welcome to the party, Tanya! So glad you found us! I used the air fryer last nite, and it was quite easy! I need to try some different recipes!
I have yet to use our air fryer. My husband loves to make wings in ours. Enjoy the air fryer and Happy Tuesday, Julie!!
I used it last night to grill some steak. The steak was cheap, so I need to try it with a better cut! 😉
Thanks so much for hosting each week Julie! Hope you’re having a wonderful summer.
You, too, Denise! Hope you are doing well!
Julie,
Thanks again for hosting this lovely party every week! I know how much time goes into doing so and I want you to know that it is greatly appreciated!! Stay safe, healthy and happy!!
Hugs,
Debbie
Thanks, Debbie!

Karin
Thanks, Karin… right back at ya!
Thank you so much for featuring my Instant Pot Hard Boiled Eggs tutorial!
Of course, Leslie! Thankful to have you at the party!
Julie, I can’t wait till you give an honest review of using your air fryer. Before, I didn’t buy one due to space, but they really do seem like a good thing. Thanks for co-hosting Tuesday Turn About. I’m out in the mid-summer garden at #117.
I think I still need to play with it… so far, I’ve only tried doing meats in it for grilling. But, I think my cuts of meat were not right. I’m looking forward to trying it more!
J, I have had a new air fryer for one year and haven’t used it yet! My bad 🙁
I’m planning on trying this one out with a thick-cut pork chop. And then I will make some zucchini sticks.
P.S. we are doing fine, just taking it one day at a time.
hugs,
Rachelle
Ugh… I’m late on replies this week again! Let me know how your air fryer recipes go! I hear thick meat is a must! Continued prayers, sweet friend!
Thanks for hosting! Have a great weekend!
