Tuesday Turn About #340 Valentine Winter Fun
Tuesday Turn About #340 Valentine Winter Fun: The party is live and we have lots of Valentine and winter ideas, decor, recipes, tablescapes, and more!
TUESDAY TURN ABOUT #340 VALENTINE WINTER FUN
Last week’s party, we had more winter fun.
Welcome to the first party of February 2026!
Are you ready for more Valentine’s and winter inspiration?

This week, we have lots of fun… from aluminum can vases (yep, that’s right) to Valentine’s EVERYTHING!
So, let’s get started with all the fun!
Abode Adventures
This month, my hours at Hobby Lobby have been cut down to four days at 5.5 hours/day.
With the way things are going with the internet, Google core updates, and monetization, something’s gotta change.
So, as I pray and consider my options, I’m also waiting on the Lord to give me clear direction. And provision! HE is my Provider… not my paycheck, or the blog, but God alone. He has always been faithful, and He promises to ALWAYS be so.
So, I ask you to pray with/for me as I consider options. I never thought, at 61 years old, I’d still be making MAJOR changes in my life. It never stops. And the Lord continues to grow me through these times. Praise Him!

My Wee Finds
If you remember when I first started working at Hobby Lobby, I was looking for a good shoe that was supportive and wouldn’t cramp my extra wide feet.
Well, I finally found THE ones that work… at least for me.
Orthfeet carry a large selection of extra supportive shoes that are comfy and look good. They have several varieties in XX-Wide that work great for my feet! The ones I’m using for work are the Coral No-Tie, but I’ll be trying out the regular Coral style next, just for fun (they DO have ties). They also have several Mary-Jane style shoes in the XX-Wide, along with a couple of cute boot styles!
Weekly Household Tip
It’s cold and flu season and I have an unusual tip today.
Often, when we have colds, our noses get overworked with tissues (am I right?). Well, when I discovered Puffs Ultra Soft (with NO lotion), I never turned back. The skin on and around my nose remains ‘healthy’, and doesn’t hurt when I use these tissues over and over again.
Remember, use the Puffs Ultra Soft WITHOUT the lotion (or you can use the ones with lotion… I just don’t like how ‘slippery’ they are). The ones linked above are at a GREAT price as of the writing of this post.
Now, grab yourself a cup of your fave hot drink, or cold if you are in 84-degree-So-Cal (crazy, ain’t it?), and let’s peruse some posts!
Though not a requirement at all, I would be SO blessed if you would subscribe and/or follow me either here on the blog, Facebook, Pinterest, or Instagram. Thanks!

Check out our Tuesday Turn About Link Party Pinterest board! All featured posts are pinned to this board each week, IF you have a pinnable image!

Let’s start sharing! Because this is a party, we encourage all who link up to visit several other bloggers who have linked as well – comments and pins are a great way to spread the love!
Before you get started, take a look at our guidelines:
- This party is for home decor, home-related posts, and family-related posts only (recipes, organizing, DIY, crafts, travel, education, etc.). Link up to 3 related posts. Please do not link up informational posts that do not relate to the topic.
- If you would please not link up shops, advertising, round-ups, other link parties, or any posts promoting sales, we would appreciate it.
- DO NOT PIN FROM IMAGES ON THIS PAGE (it just won’t work right on Pinterest). However, please visit the original post/source and pin from there. That works perfectly!
- Please make sure that your images are in a jpeg or png format. If we can’t save your image, we may not be able to feature you. So sad!
- By linking to the party, you give us permission to share your projects on our blogs and social media, with the use of ONE photo from your blog for that may be included in a pinnable collage. We will always give proper credit with a no-pin image.
The party was a bit smaller this week, mainly because I forgot to add the code for the link-ups. SOOOO, I’m hoping this week will be a bigger one! Link-up with ALL the Valentine’s you have, including old posts! We’ll have a Valentine Palooza next week!

Sending prayers your way. May everything work out according to God’s plan. Thank you for providing this space for us to share our latest post. It is very much appreciated. Take care.
Thank you, Steph. I’m thankful the God already has victory in this… and that it’s for my good and His glory!
Hope all goes well for you and yours. Thank you for hosting this weekly linky
Thanks, Estelle!
Hang in there. The start of the year hours at stores always goes down a bit. I pray that you get what you need. Your readerslove you. God be with you!
Thank you SO much, Josee! You made my day!
Life would be so much simpler, if we didn’t have to worry about money. Sending prayers your way for a solution. Thanks for hosting each week. Wishing you a lovely week ahead.
Lynne, Thrifting Wonderland
Thanks for the prayers… and I agree that life would be simpler without having to manage finances!
Julie,
Sending prayers your way and yes, God will provide no matter what…It is so very hard for everyone in this economy over the last year…My son and DIL work in retail at target so I know the ups and downs of that market…Target is constantly hiring people but they do not stay long as it seems no one wants to work…So my son and DIL are usually okay with their hours…My son has been offered management position but will not take them because those are usually the first people to go when they cut back…He has been there over 20 years…
My Link Ups for today’s party are # 4, 5 and 6!
Thanks so much for hosting this charming party!!! I truly do appreciate it as I do know the time involved with it….I hope you and your family are well and enjoying your week!
Hugs,
Deb
Debbie-Dabble Blog
Thanks, Deb. I really appreciate your encouragement!
That is the life of retail, sink or swim. I remember all too well the times of being busy and not having enough help, to then swing the opposite way and having to cut payroll. Hang in there, things will improve soon. The winter months are always the hardest on retail.
Yes… I’m trusting the Lord. Taking steps of faith!
Yes, hang in there because, you are not done yet! Starting over happens each time we turn a corner, and the good news is that so far, you have survived the all! PS thanks so much for the tip on where to get comfortable shoes for those of us with extra wide feet.
Thanks, Melynda. Hope the shoes work for you!
Julie, I’m thinking of you. January has been the worst month for bloggers (Usually, it’s one of my best months.), so I know how frustrating it is. Plus having your hours cut down. Something will show you the way. I’ve changed careers multiple times, and each one led me to something new and challenging. I was older than you are now when I started Bluesky at Home, it has been the biggest challenge ever. Hang in there, pray, and be open to whatever God has in store for you. (Is Hobby Lobby’s business slowing down? Would that be normal after the holidays?)
Thanks, Carol. Trusting the Lord in all of this. HL isn’t slowing down, per se. It’s just the holidays are over and we aren’t being bombarded. But our store did get to add one FT employee and about 8 PT employees. They are all getting more hours, but the cashiers are not. It’s not really right, but it’s how our manager ‘manages’. :-/
My son works in retail, and his hours are down now, too! So I can relate to that and what you’re feeling about the blog! You will be in my thoughts and prayers!
Yeah… I’m brainstorming and seeing where the Lord leads!
Thanks so much for featuring my luxurious Valentine table, Julie! I so appreciate the shout out! I’m sorry you’re going through a rough patch, but you’re such a talented and resourceful person, that I know you’ll find something maybe even better! Sending lots of good energy your way! Thanks for hosting, as always, and take care down there!
You are so welcome. I’m thankful I have a God that is always faithful, and has always provided. He won’t stop now! 😉
Julie, thank you for including my Valentine’s table alongside such an inspiring group of features! I really appreciate the time and energy you put into hosting wonderful parties each week. Take care
Of course, Sandra! Always so happy to have you here!
Thank you for sharing our 14 Day Kindness Challenge–it’s never too late to start! Have a fantastic week!
You are so welcome!
Thanks so much, Julie! Praying for God’s direction in your life, and AMEN to God growing us throught the difficult times! I can truly relate to that. Yes, he is ALWAYS faithful!
Thanks, Pam… looking to Him and resting in Him!
Julie, thank you so much for featuring my non-traditional Valentine table. I will pray for your prosperity in however God chooses to inspire you toward it.
Those shoes look really comfy. I found myself perusing lots of choices on that site. I make sure I have good walking shoes and replace mine at least twice a year. Thank you for blogging and sharing your platform.
You are so welcome! Thank you for the prayers!
Going through times of uncertainty can be so stressful. I’ll be holding you in my prayers, Julie, just as God continues to hold you in the palm of His hand.
Thank you so much, Laura!
Yes, HE ALONE is your provider and protector, no matter your age or life condition. Praying that you will see the good hand of God at this time<3 Thanks for hosting, and the reminder, Julie!
Thanks, Lora! So glad to have you with us!
