Tuesday Turn About #246 Beginning Again
Tuesday Turn About #246 Beginning Again: The party is in full swing, and this week there are some changes going on!
TUESDAY TURN ABOUT #246 Beginning Again
Last week’s party, we said ‘farewell’ to our cohostess and enjoyed more spring fun.
Welcome to the “NEW” Tuesday Turn About!
How do you like the “new look”?
Don’t you love how the new graphics coordinate with the MWA (My Wee Abode) brand?
Along with new graphics, we have even more fun changes going on at the party!
- “Abode Adventures” is officially becoming a regular feature at the party! 🎉 This is your go-to spot for all the inside scoop on what’s happening at My Wee Abode, but on a more personal level. Curious about my next move? Well, you’re in luck because this is where I’ll spill all the details… just as soon as I figure them out myself!
- “My Wee Finds,” is another new feature here at TTA! 🌟 This corner is all about sharing the “stuff” I stumble upon – whether it’s functional, fun, or just plain fabulous! Consider it a sneak peek into my latest discoveries. It’s still a work in progress, and I’m counting on your input to shape it into something truly special. (This feature is replacing “Household Tips”, but tips will be included in this area from time-to-time.)
There’s more…
- “Weekly Blogging Tip” is sticking around for good! You’ve shown so much love for these tips, so why mess with a good thing? Stay tuned for more insider knowledge that I’m picking up right alongside you. Let’s keep learning and growing together!
- Featured link-ups from the last party will continue, of course. What’s a link-party without post features, right? Now, here’s what’s new – in the past, we had some guidelines for the hostesses when it came to featuring posts. But now, it’s my turn to pick whichever posts that catch my eye (and as many as I want)! Just so you know, I’m all about spreading the love. My mission? To feature as many of you awesome folks as I possibly can! Curious about how to up your chances of snagging a feature? Check out today’s Blogging Tip!
Abode Adventures
Today, I gave my 30-day notice at My Wee Abode 2.0.
It’s a bit sad, to be honest. I thought I would be here for quite a bit longer than just two years. I’ve enjoyed living here for many reasons.
The apartment and grounds have been especially nice. With two bedrooms and two bathrooms, the apartment has been more than large enough for my mom and me. I JUST finished creating a tiny office in my bedroom, and now I’m going to have to pack it all up again!
I’ve met some wonderful people here, and two women that I’ve especially become close to. I’m hoping that our friendships will continue, even after I leave.
However, the biggest reason I’ve been happy here is because I was given the blessing of spending the last two years of Mom’s life with her here. Being totally transparent, taking care of Mom was one of the hardest things I’ve ever done, mostly because of the strain on my mind and heart in dealing with her Alzheimer’s. But, God used it… in so many ways. Maybe someday I’ll write a post about it.
I’m still not sure where My Wee Abode 3.0 is going to land. But God does! And THAT fact brings SO much comfort!
My Wee Finds
Since I’m still working on this section of the party, and I’m getting ready to move… again, this week let me share this amazing post from The Homes I Have Made about decluttering before a move.
Megan has gone through TEN pre-move declutters, so I’m thinking we can all call her an “expert”.
Weekly Blogging Tip
Let me remind everyone what Tuesday Turn About looks for in a feature post (okay, okay… what *I* look for in a feature post):
- CLEAR and FOCUSED images that are pleasant (at the very least) to look at. It’s important that post images have clear lines, are not blurry, are bright, and uncluttered. Also, that they are appetizing. If you aren’t sure what this means, ask a friend for some loving and constructive tips about your images. If you want to contact me for tips (not that I’m an expert), I would be happy to be that ‘friend’. 😉
- I really enjoy posts that present a solution (I think most of us do). Whether it’s a ‘how-to’, tips and tricks for the home or family-life, or even a collection of different ideas about one subject… Tuesday Turn About wants to offer everyone something helpful to their (our) lives! (In other words, feel free to link-up a post with only images from your recent trip to Hawaii, but you’ll have a better chance of being featured if you include the specific things you DID on your trip.)
And that’s pretty much all it takes!
Pretty much the same as what a successful blog looks like, right? 😉
Now, let’s look at a handful of posts that caught my eye this week! We have a little bit of this, and a little bit of that. I bet there’s something for everyone this week!

Check out our Tuesday Turn About Link Party Pinterest board! All featured posts are pinned to this board each week, IF you have a pinnable image!
Let’s start sharing! Because this is a party, we encourage all who link up to visit several other bloggers who have linked as well – comments and pins are a great way to spread the love!
Before you get started, take a look at our guidelines:
- This party is for home decor, home-related posts, and family-related posts only (recipes, organizing, DIY, crafts, travel, education, etc.). Link up to 3 related posts. Please do not link up informational posts that do not relate to the topic.
- If you would please not link up shops, advertising, round-ups, other link parties, or any posts promoting sales, we would appreciate it.
- DO NOT PIN FROM IMAGES ON THIS PAGE (it just won’t work right on Pinterest). However, please visit the original post/source and pin from there. That works perfectly!
- Please make sure that your images are in a jpeg or png format. If we can’t save your image, we may not be able to feature you. So sad!
- By linking to the party, you give us permission to share your projects on our blogs and social media, with the use of ONE photo from your blog for that may be included in a pinnable collage. We will always give proper credit with a no-pin image.
So, what did you think of the new party? Be sure to tell your friends about it, and even share the post with them on social media!
Let me know if you would like to see anything else at the party!
So sorry about your mom ❤️ four of my dad’s sisters had Alzheimer’s and it’s so awful for everyone involved. Thank you for including my eclipse printables with this week’s features and sending you blessing and good vibes for your My Wee Abode 3.0 adventures – Maria
I cannot even imagine that many siblings having this disease. None of my other family members have had to go through it, which puts all kinds of question marks in my head! Thanks for the kind words, Maria!
I’m sorry, I didn’t mean to freak you out 💖
Not freaked out at all. I’ve always had question marks in my head about what brought on Mom’s diagnosis. I pretty much have deduced it was medications and other issues she was predisposed to.
That makes sense. We think that my aunts were exposed to something too and my grandmother did a lot of cooking with aluminum pots and pans way back in the 40’s. They say that might have something to do with it. Have a wonderful weekend 💖
Yep… I rarely use aluminum now. Natural deodorant, and toothpaste without fluoride, as it is an aluminum magnet. So crazy the world we live in!
Thank you so much for the feature, Julie. Wishing you all the best with your move!
Thanks, Ann! Lots to do in 30 days!
I love your faithful spirit. Praying for your next adventure. I will be following. Bless you!
Thanks so much, Josee! I appreciate you being such a faithful part of our community for so long!
Thank you so much Julie, you are truly an inspiration! Good luck with your next challenges, I will be praying for you. All the changes you are making to the blog sound wonderful 💕
Thank you, Jenna! We’ll see where the Lord takes me!
I can’t wait to see and hear about Wee Abode No. 3! You’ve been through so much and, although bittersweet, it will be nice to have something just for you!
Best of luck!
Yes, Susan… we had talked about whether or not it was time for me to move in with my daughter and her family, but none of us were ready for that yet. I hope my next move is another part of my small living journey! 😉
hi julie
I am excited to see where you land for your 3.0
Happy April! xo laura
Thanks, Laura! Happy April to you, too!
Hi Julie,
Blessings upon your move! Hope you have a lovely week! The new party graphics look amazing!
Thanks, Rachel… I’m looking forward to what the Lord has in store!
I’m excited to see what’s coming for you, Julie. Thanks so much for hosting. Love the new graphics!
Thanks, Debra! Always fun, and sometimes tedious, creating new graphics!
Julie, I wish you all the best with your move. God has some new and exciting things planned for you, and that’s always something to look forward to. Thank you for adding my decoupaged bookmarks to the list of features. I appreciate it. 😊
Thanks, Stephanie… I’m looking forward to seeing what He does to bring Himself glory… because HE deserves it!
Thanks for hosting Julie and Lynn and having me over. This time, my entries are #32+33. Feel free to join SSPS Linkup M-S: https://esmesalon.com/tag/seniorsalonpitstop/
Hi Julie! Wow, you have a bunch going on and it’s all fabulous. The new graphic looks great and all the new format sounds fun too. Good luck with MWA 3.0. Moving is hard but I know you will land in the best place. Thank you for including my salmon tea sandwiches; I am honored friend. Stay well. XO- MaryJo
Julie, I love the new logo. It looks really fresh. I can’t wait to see where you land and your new wee abode.
So exciting Julie – although I know the busyness and uncertainty leaven that a little bit. I hope you get less stress and more excitement on the way to MWA 3.0! In the meantime, I love the new look, and keep those blogging tips coming – they’re super helpful! Thanks as always for hosting, and Happy April!
Thank you, Barbara. I always look forward to your kind and thought-filled comments!
Your faith, positive attitude and resilience are truly inspiring, Julie! I can only imagine how hard (but also how special) the past two years have been with your mom. I can’t wait to see what God has in store for you next! I love your new graphics and we look forward to gathering here regularly! Thank you!
Thank you so much, Laura… you words are so encouraging! Always good to see you here!
Thank you so much for highlighting my post on teaching kids to sing hymns! Your comment on my blog was so encouraging!
You are so welcome, Elena! Wonderful to meet a fellow blogger through the party! Hope to see you each week!
Hoping you have an easy transition to wherever your new life takes you. The new look is great. Looking forward to the new format and all you will bring to the blog. Thanks for continuing to provide a place for bloggers and readers to meet and mingle.

Oh, thanks so much, Lynne! I love this community, so I hope to keep TTA going for the long run!

Debbie-Dabble Blog
Thanks, Debbie! Always good to see you here!
Debbie… I just read your post about stepping away. Know that I am praying, in so many ways. The Lord is in control, of EVERYTHING!
AWESOME inspiration this week Julie! Thanks for hosting and have a lovely SPRING! Creatively, Beth
Always love seeing what you are up to, Beth!
Love the new look Julie! I’m so sorry about your mom. I lost both my mom and M.I.L. To Alzheimer’s. It’s why we donate all our blog earnings to the Alzheimer society each year. It makes me feel less helpless and hopeful that one day, no other person and caregiver will have to face the same challenges.
Oh wow… I had NO idea you did that with your earnings. What an amazing way to continue helping fight this disease! Thanks for sharing that, Sara… and it’s good to see you!
So excited for you Julie! I love the new look and format of your party! Good luck finding a new place and have a wonderful week!
Thank you so much, my friend! Never a dull moment here! 😉
I love the new graphics Julie! Praying for peace during this time of transition, He is in control and only has what is His best for us in mind. Looking forward to 3.0 as well 🙂
xx, Tanya
Thanks, Tanya… so much for the encouraging words. I agree… He will withhold no good thing! 😉
Wow Julie another move for you. I wish you all the best in your new abode 🙂 Looking forward to seeing all the details from your new place.
Hugs to you my friend.
Karin
Thanks, Karin. Yep… just can’t afford a 2b/2b apartment here in So Cal, by myself. Doesn’t make sense either. But, I think my next move will be a big pivot. We’ll see!
Oh I can’t imagine trying to find a place So. Cal… it’s so expensive. You should look in Utah! Specifically south Jordan Daybreak community. Look it up and see what you think.
Thanks for the tip. That would work great, except my children and grands live here! 😉 Can’t imagine moving without one of my kids and there families. However, I DO have quite a few friends in Utah!
