Tuesday Turn About #243 Bring on Spring

Spread the love

Tuesday Turn About #243 Bring on Spring: My Wee Abode has been transitioning into spring for the last several parties. But we’re partying like it’s already here!

TUESDAY TURN ABOUT #243 BRING ON SPRING

At last week’s party, we started ‘hopping’ into spring.

It’s not spring… yet.

I’ll save that for NEXT week! 😉

But, we’re still partying here as if spring has sprung. What about you?

This week, I’m sharing a bit of this and that… no real rhyme or reason, but a great pre-cursor to welcoming spring… which starts on the same day as next week’s party!

Today, I’m sharing a yummy “Irish” dessert, tips for moving (perfect for this woman’s time in life… again!), a DIY on how to freshen-up and upcycle a shirt, and even a way to make white beans look like jelly beans… and more!

And remember…

Be sure to hop on over to My Family Thyme to check out FIVE additional features from TTA!
If you haven’t been featured at MWA this week, you just may be featured there!

And I haven’t forgotten about the changes coming to TTA! More on that in the next couple of weeks!

Weekly Household Tip

And here’s a household tip from Lynne…

My dog has been sick recently and has had some accidents in our home. To help clean our area rug, we purchased Bissell’s Little Green Portable Carpet Cleaner. I am so happy with this purchase! It works so well and completely removed the stains. Now that spring cleaning time is here, I plan on using it all around my home.

Along with Lynne, I can second this tip… I was gifted this machine for Christmas, and I have used it on my white sofa… worked like a charm, and so easy to use!

Weekly Blogging Tip

There are so many algorithm changes and Google updates going on, it’s hard to actually know what to do!

Let me encourage you a bit this week…

Do your research, but don’t get overwhelmed. There are so many different opinions out there, you’ll never REALLY know exactly what you need to do!

My motto? “Do your best, and then rest (in the Lord)”. I’ve learned over the years that God will do what He wants with my blog. I see His faithfulness, and it prompts me to continue to trust Him!

So don’t fret… Trust the Lord… with your blog and your life! 😉

How to Revive and Old(er) Shirt

Isn’t the stitching on this shirt lovely? It reminds me of the pillow cases my grandma embroidered years ago. Vintage is always in style, in my humble opinion. Check out how to freshen-up a ‘tired’ blouse with tips from Julie at Sum of Their Stories.

Bailey’s Irish Cream Chocolate Cake

Have you ever had a Bailey’s Irish Cream dessert? I haven’t… probably because I’m a tee-totaler. But that doesn’t mean YOU can’t enjoy this yummy chocolate cake, just in time for St. Paddy’s Day. Check out the recipe from Niky at The House on Silverado.

How to Dye White Beans

The filler in this vase looks just like pastel jelly beans, doesn’t it? Take a look how Rosemary from My Home and Travels dyes white beans to resemble these Easter treats.

Let’s start sharing! Because this is a party, we encourage all who link up to visit several other bloggers who have linked as well – comments and pins are a great way to spread the love!

Before you get started, take a look at our guidelines:

  • This party is for home decor and home-related posts only (recipes, organizing, DIY, crafts, etc.). Link up to 3 related posts. Please do not link up informational posts that do not relate to the topic.
  • If you would please not link up shops, advertising, round-ups, other link parties, or any posts promoting sales, we would appreciate it.
  • DO NOT PIN FROM IMAGES ON THIS PAGE (it just won’t work right on Pinterest). However, please visit the original post/source and pin from there. That works perfectly!
  • Please make sure that your images are in a jpeg or png format. If we can’t save your image, we may not be able to feature you. So sad!
  • By linking to the party, you give us permission to share your projects on our blogs and social media, with the use of ONE photo from your blog for that may be included in a pinnable collage. We will always give proper credit with a no-pin image.

Thank you all for joining us this week! Blogger-friends and reader-friends alike are why the party continues!
