Tuesday Turn About #317 Fall Back to School: Let’s get inspired by a little bit of fall and a little bit of back to school!

TUESDAY TURN ABOUT #317 FALL BACK TO SCHOOL

At last week’s party, we welcomed August and all the happenings.

The party is open, and we’re so glad you are here!

Let’s get right to it!

The humidity has been a bit much here in So Cal, but I’m sure it is worse in other parts of the country, and world, for that matter!

So, let’s try to cool things down in our minds, at least, right? Let’s take a look at some back-to-school ideas and some fun fall inspiration, too! We even have a unique recipe for a coffee alternative that sounds yummy!

UPDATE NOTE: I neglected to consider my daughter and SIL’s feelings about sharing the information regarding my grandson’s procedure and results. I’m editing this area of my post to take down the extended information I shared. Continued prayers are appreciated and I will share when and if my daughter and SIL feel it appropriate. Thank you for understanding.

Thank you all for your prayers for my marshmallow jellybean and the procedure he had last week.

Now, let’s take a look at some features to lighten and brighten our spirits!

Though not a requirement at all, I would be SO blessed if you would subscribe and/or follow me either here on the blog, Facebook, Pinterest, or Instagram. Thanks!

Let’s start sharing! Because this is a party, we encourage all who link up to visit several other bloggers who have linked as well – comments and pins are a great way to spread the love!

Before you get started, take a look at our guidelines:

  • This party is for home decor, home-related posts, and family-related posts only (recipes, organizing, DIY, crafts, travel, education, etc.). Link up to 3 related posts. Please do not link up informational posts that do not relate to the topic.
  • If you would please not link up shops, advertising, round-ups, other link parties, or any posts promoting sales, we would appreciate it.
  • DO NOT PIN FROM IMAGES ON THIS PAGE (it just won’t work right on Pinterest). However, please visit the original post/source and pin from there. That works perfectly!
  • Please make sure that your images are in a jpeg or png format. If we can’t save your image, we may not be able to feature you. So sad!
  • By linking to the party, you give us permission to share your projects on our blogs and social media, with the use of ONE photo from your blog for that may be included in a pinnable collage. We will always give proper credit with a no-pin image.

Thank you all for joining in the party each week, whether you’re coming for only inspiration, or linking up AND being inspired!

And know that we are doing well. We feel the Lord’s presence in a big way right now, and we are thankful. If you have any questions, please feel free to ask. Our family tends to be an ‘open book’. (Or so I thought, LOL!) 😉

  4. Oh Julie, it saddens me to read the words of your baby’s diagnosis. However, I know faith and prayer can heal. You have my commitment to keeping Jellybean #5 in my prayers. Please send me his name so I can call him by his name so God has no mistake knowing who I’m praying for. Which children’s hospital will he receive treatment?
I have a good friend who advocates for Childhood Cancer Research through the St Baldrick’s Foundation (headquarters in Monrovia CA). His son was diagnosed over 30 years ago and lives to tell the power of research, prayer, and treatment! September is Childhood Cancer Awareness month. Let’s ALL pray for this angel baby boy’s complete healing!

    1. Thank you so much, Rita. My grandson’s name is Jasper. Thankful that God know our hearts, minds, and prayers, even before we speak them. So, even if you forget his name, the all-knowing God will know exactly who you are talking about. 😉

  5. Thank you so much for the feature! My son was diagnosed with Hodgkin’s lymphoma after finding a lump on his neck, and I’ll never forget those early days of fear and uncertainty with all the tests and procedures before we had clear answers. Reading the words “stage 4” nearly broke me—but soon after we realised that it’s not the end of the world: lymphomas are among the most treatable cancers. The stages don’t carry the same weight as they do with solid tumors, and most people go on to live long, healthy lives after diagnosis. These days, there are many super-effective treatments available, with response rates around 95%. So even if it truly is lymphoma, hold your head high—you’re facing one of the most beatable cancers out there. At the end, you’ll all get out stronger and wiser. I’ll be praying for healing and strength for your little one, and if you ever need to talk or have someone listen, please don’t hesitate to reach out. ❤️

    1. Thank you, Mariama… that is very encouraging. My daughter has done quite a bit of research, and she found the same info as you shared, and that is so encouraging. Thank you for the offer of a listening ear. I just might reach out! <3

  6. It’s so hard to comprehend a tiny guy ending up with such a diagnosis. But as you have pointed out, we have a GOOD God who is utterly capable and loves Jasper dearly. Jasper is in SUCH good hands humanly speaking and the BEST hands divinely speaking. I’m confident that the LORD will continue to go before them and prepare the way for Jasper as He has for me.

  7. Julie thank you for the update and continued prayers for you and your entire family my friend Your grandson sounds like a. strong and amazing soul. XO- MaryJo

    1. Thank you, MaryJo… You would have never known him to be so brave even 3 months ago! God is doing great things in his little heart!
