TUESDAY TURN ABOUT #267 FALL FOR HOUSEHOLD TIPS

Last week’s party was all about fall, food, and flatware!

The party has started, and we’re sure happy you are here!

This is the last party of August! Crazy, right?!

School has started for so many, cooler weather is starting to hit all over, and Starbuck’s is serving pumpkin spice drinks. So, don’t hate us for having some autumnal fun!

We have household tips and tricks, some fashion posts, a couple of ‘kids’ posts, as well as some fall features!

Are you ready?

Abode Adventures

This week, I started prepping my kitchen cabinets for paint… FINALLY!

I often have a hard time getting started on projects because I sabotage myself by thinking it will be much harder than it actually is! Can anyone relate? Well, it happened that way with the cabinet doors, too!

Prepping the first “prototype” has not been as difficult as I anticipated, and I’ve learned a couple of things along the way, so the next ones will be easier. And the tutorial will be void of ‘hiccups’ because I’ve already had them! 😆

New posts will be on the backburner for a couple more weeks as I get this project finished!

Also, today’s post will be abbreviated, as I have company arriving tomorrow! More on that at next week’s party!

My Wee Finds

Speaking of cooler weather and pumpkin spice, you’ll find out in my Household Tip why I got my first drink frother! No need to get an expensive one!

This mini salad spinner is on my wishlist… I’m finding I really need this for all the greens I’m enjoying these days. And this one is a space-saver, too!

And this stainless steel 1.0 quart sauce pan is perfect for…

Weekly Household Tip

A yummy and healthy pumpkin spice latte:

  • 1/2-3/4 cup brewed coffee
  • 1/2 cup organic coconut milk
  • 2 Tablespoons organic pumpkin puree
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1/2 Tablespoon organic maple syrup
  • 1/2 teaspoon organic pumpkin pie spice

Add all ingredients to a sauce pan, heat and mix until desired temperature. Pour into large mug and mix with frother. Sprinkle a bit of spice on top if desired.

Weekly Blogging Tip

Give yourself grace!

If you can’t blog everyday, or even every other day, it’s okay. Just make sure the content you DO write is written well, helps your readers, and you have clear images that help tell the story.🥰

Now… grab that healthy pumpkin spice latte, and let’s party!

Though not a requirement at all, I would be SO blessed if you would subscribe and/or follow me either here on the blog, Facebook, Pinterest, or Instagram. Thanks!

Check out our Tuesday Turn About Link Party Pinterest board! All featured posts are pinned to this board each week, IF you have a pinnable image!

Let’s start sharing! Because this is a party, we encourage all who link up to visit several other bloggers who have linked as well – comments and pins are a great way to spread the love!

Before you get started, take a look at our guidelines:

  • This party is for home decor, home-related posts, and family-related posts only (recipes, organizing, DIY, crafts, travel, education, etc.). Link up to 3 related posts. Please do not link up informational posts that do not relate to the topic.
  • If you would please not link up shops, advertising, round-ups, other link parties, or any posts promoting sales, we would appreciate it.
  • DO NOT PIN FROM IMAGES ON THIS PAGE (it just won’t work right on Pinterest). However, please visit the original post/source and pin from there. That works perfectly!
  • Please make sure that your images are in a jpeg or png format. If we can’t save your image, we may not be able to feature you. So sad!
  • By linking to the party, you give us permission to share your projects on our blogs and social media, with the use of ONE photo from your blog for that may be included in a pinnable collage. We will always give proper credit with a no-pin image.

I’m already enjoying all the fall posts! How ’bout you? With temps starting to dip here in So Cal, it’ll be either a pumpkin spice latte or frap for me! What will your drink of choice be for this autumn?

    1. Yes… I just got to get them done! I’m feeling a bit melancholy after saying good-bye to my ‘son’ last night. Trying to get the gumption to do something. 🙂

  3. Julie, I agree, getting started is the toughest part for me too. I can’t wait to see your cabinets! Thanks so much for the party, and I hope you enjoy your company!

  4. Mmmm that sounds delicious – can’t wait to try!! Have fun with your guests, and I also can’t wait to hear about your cabinet painting. Thanks in advance for working out all the kinks! And thanks for hosting, as always – you know I love this party! Hope you have a great week!

    1. Thanks, Jenna… It was wonderful to see my Japanese “son”, but so hard to say good-bye. Praying the Lord will afford me the opportunity to go see him in the next year or two.

  5. This is such a great link party. So much useable and interesting information in one post PLUS the ability to check out so many other blogs from amazing creators. Thank you so much for the feature!

  6. Fortunately it is beginning to cool down in East Texas, which is a good thing, there is still lots to do! And yes, overthinking was something I thought I should give up at retirement, but for some reason it has stuck around…
    Thanks for the link-up!

    1. Thanks, Debra. Hope to work on them this week. Today, I’m feeling a bit down after my Japanese “son” left last night. 🙂 But, it will get better.

  7. Julie, Thanks so much for featuring my Mickey and Minnie back to school tablescape, I’m so honored to be included with your featured posts!!! Thanks also for hosting your great link party each week!! The pumpkin latte looks great!! Have fun with your company!! – Patty

  8. With temps in the 90s and air quality alerts, I’m definitely still in the thick of summer here. Probably for the next month at least. Since I haven’t really had the chance to enjoy summer, I hate to see it go — but I’d at least like to hover in the 80s! Thanks for hosting a fun party!

    1. Yes… I wouldn’t mind temps in low to mid 80s, but it looks like we are hitting high 90s again next week. This is often how it is here in So Cal.

    1. You are so welcome! Did you link up to the party? I’m not sure what is going on, but I have about 1/2 of the link-ups I usually do this week!
