TUESDAY TURN ABOUT #326 FALL FOR PUMPKINS

Last week’s party was HUGE.

Welcome to the fun!

Can you believe we have less than two weeks left of October?

Life is just spinning by! Looking at my last blogs posts, I realize just how long it’s been since I’ve added a new post outside of TTA! SO, last night I diligently worked to get my photos done for my cabinet post, and I finished.

PLUS, to my chagrin, I realized how many images I failed to snap! Does that happen to you? You get involved in a project and forget to take pics along the way? (Such is the life of THIS blogger!)

Anways, I digress. Let’s get this party started with all things fall and LOTS of pumpkins!

Abode Adventures

Last Tuesday, we had about two inches of rain fall in less than 12 hours.

Unfortunately, that night, I went to pick my blanket up off the floor near my trailer’s bedroom door, and it was drenched!

Obviously, so was the carpet!

So, the carpet was pulled back (by me!), and I found this…

tuesday turn about 326 fall for pumpkins subfloor with mold and fan on floor

Yep… as you can tell from the mold, this has happened before, and I didn’t know it!

A dear friend, who is a general contractor AND trailer owner, “happened” to be in the area on Wednesday (totally from the Lord), and he was able to do some sealing on the roof. However, a new roof (or another type of fix?) will need to happen in the near future.

The subfloor is dried out now, and I’m working on remediation. My trailer neighbors are out of town right now, and I’m going to wait until they return for the hubby part of the duo to check things out.

I’ll keep you posted!

My Wee Finds

If you are wondering what I’m using first to treat the mold on the porous wood surface of my subfloor, I will be using the RMR-86 mold stain remover, and then I will be using the RMR-141 fungacide. Upon doing my research, these products seem to work well! Again, I’ll keep you posted!

Also… I recently re-purchased this Whitsunday Collapsible Foldable Wagon for our pastor and his wife (it was a purchase by the church, but I placed the ordered 😉 ). Mine has stood the test of time, so we thought it would be great to help them with carrying totes, etc. into our new facility.

Weekly Household Tip

To continue the ‘chicken-cooking’ saga… When I’m boiling chicken to add to my salads, adding a cup of chicken broth to the water makes for extra yummy bites at lunch and dinner! 😉

Now, let’s get to some features!

Though not a requirement at all, I would be SO blessed if you would subscribe and/or follow me either here on the blog, Facebook, Pinterest, or Instagram. Thanks!

Let’s start sharing! Because this is a party, we encourage all who link up to visit several other bloggers who have linked as well – comments and pins are a great way to spread the love!

Before you get started, take a look at our guidelines:

  • This party is for home decor, home-related posts, and family-related posts only (recipes, organizing, DIY, crafts, travel, education, etc.). Link up to 3 related posts. Please do not link up informational posts that do not relate to the topic.
  • If you would please not link up shops, advertising, round-ups, other link parties, or any posts promoting sales, we would appreciate it.
  • DO NOT PIN FROM IMAGES ON THIS PAGE (it just won’t work right on Pinterest). However, please visit the original post/source and pin from there. That works perfectly!
  • Please make sure that your images are in a jpeg or png format. If we can’t save your image, we may not be able to feature you. So sad!
  • By linking to the party, you give us permission to share your projects on our blogs and social media, with the use of ONE photo from your blog for that may be included in a pinnable collage. We will always give proper credit with a no-pin image.

It was a wonderful party this past week, and I’m looking forward to even more! Maybe even some Christmas posts? Is it too early? (It’s never too early for me!)

  2. I, too, will often finish a project and then realize I forgot to snap photos of important steps along the way! It’s always frustrating but I don’t seem to get better at it! I’m sure it was very frustrating to discover your mold issue! Sounds like you did a quick fix and praying that you get good advice when your neighbor returns. Thanks for the party, Julie, and all the fun pumpkin/fall inspiration!

    1. Thanks, Laura. My dear friend is a mechanical engineer and trailer-DIYer as a hobby. He thrives on fixing things, so I’m sure he’ll be a big help. So thankful!

  4. Sorry about your floor. Are you going to replace the flooring with carpet or go trendy with the plank flooring? Look at the bright side you get to remodel before the holidays. Looks like you got over the worst part, drying it out as it takes time, and so does a new roof.,

    1. I’m not doing carpet… for now, I’m going to get some floor runners to cover the subfloor. But I’ve first got to take care of necessities before anything else! 😉

  5. Thank you for hosting, and wishing you lots of success in your battle with the mold! We’ve had good results using borax; it’s organic and works well on all kinds of fungi by drastically changing the pH. Just make sure the area stays dry afterward. Maybe it’s worth a try!

  6. Yikes, I know I am always on guard for water damage and leaks….best of luck in all you need for getting it repaired. Love the great variety of features. Don’t work too hard, and enjoy the week ahead.

    1. Yeah… I’m thinking that if need be, my friend (a mechanical engineer and trailer DIYer) will be able to help me. Mold and water damage is always so daunting!

And thank you for including my Mason Jar Pumpkins with the rest of the fabulous inspiration this week! Take care – Creatively, Beth

  8. I’m so sorry to hear about the water issue, Julie! It’s a good thing you noticed it! Thanks so much for featuring my stamped coasters! I appreciate it so much. 😊

  10. Hi Julie, thanks so much for the feature! Sorry I was too late to link up this week. I’ve had double duty with grandkids and dogs, and I’m exhausted! Hope you resolve your leak soon, that’s certainly no fun to deal with! Hugs!
