Tuesday Turn About #307 Hot Summer Tips: This week we have lots of tips and tricks for your summer home that include recipes and even some suggestions for Father’s Day!
TUESDAY TURN ABOUT #307 HOT SUMMER TIPS
Last week, we welcomed June to 2025.
So glad to have you at the party this week!
Temps have cooled down here in So Cal, but that will only last so long!🔥

Last week, I finally got around to washing my car. Of course, you know what happened next, right?
It rained!
Totally unexpected rain, and even some hail! It was crazy!
Now we have our June Gloom, but summer is just around the corner, as well as Father’s Day!
So today, we are being inspired by some summer home hints, a Father’s Day gift guide, some tips on keeping your makeup fresh for the hot weather to come, and even some yummy summer treats!
Are you ready?
Abode Adventures
The kitchen cabinet drawers and hardware are finished and installed! Hoping to get the cabinets doors done this week, but no later than next. I know, I know… when will this all end?
I’m removing the wallpaper borders this week, as well.
A MWA member recently shared she missed my small home posts. They are coming! I have photos taken for at least three posts, and more on the way! This week, I work almost 30 hours, so I’m hoping to get lots done next week… but aiming to get some things done after my shifts at HL THIS week.

My Wee Finds
Our church is moving to a new facility, which is a blessing. We’ve been sharing a location with another church, and we’ve been meeting on Sunday evenings. It’s been difficult for those who work the next day, let alone the children that need to be in bed.
Since I take care of the coffee ‘ministry’, I’m looking to get a new single serve coffee maker. This Keurig Supreme Smart Coffee Maker looks like a contender. I have the ‘not-smart’ version in my home, and I love it!
This coffee pod holder/organizer will most likely be on the shopping list, as well.
Weekly Household Tip
With all the painting going on around here, let me share my brush cleaning tip!
When you are ready to give your paint brushes a good cleaning, use some rubbing alcohol to break-up paint that has dried on your brush. Just pour some directly on the brush or in a dish and let the brush soak for a few minutes. Then, gently swish and push the brush around in the solution until the paint dissolves. Wash with warm water and dish soap and rinse in cold water.
Weekly Blogging Tip
The Pinterest mini-course I’m going through has had some good suggestions.
One thing to always remember. Pinterest is a ‘long-term-strategy’. It takes a while for a new pin to take off, as well as new boards, or even a new way of trying things!
Don’t be afraid to create new boards that are within your niche, and several boards related to the same board. And be sure to use high ranking keywords that appear in the search bar on Pinterest.
Though not a requirement at all, I would be SO blessed if you would subscribe and/or follow me either here on the blog, Facebook, Pinterest, or Instagram. Thanks!

Check out our Tuesday Turn About Link Party Pinterest board! All featured posts are pinned to this board each week, IF you have a pinnable image!

Let’s start sharing! Because this is a party, we encourage all who link up to visit several other bloggers who have linked as well – comments and pins are a great way to spread the love!
Before you get started, take a look at our guidelines:
- This party is for home decor, home-related posts, and family-related posts only (recipes, organizing, DIY, crafts, travel, education, etc.). Link up to 3 related posts. Please do not link up informational posts that do not relate to the topic.
- If you would please not link up shops, advertising, round-ups, other link parties, or any posts promoting sales, we would appreciate it.
- DO NOT PIN FROM IMAGES ON THIS PAGE (it just won’t work right on Pinterest). However, please visit the original post/source and pin from there. That works perfectly!
- Please make sure that your images are in a jpeg or png format. If we can’t save your image, we may not be able to feature you. So sad!
- By linking to the party, you give us permission to share your projects on our blogs and social media, with the use of ONE photo from your blog for that may be included in a pinnable collage. We will always give proper credit with a no-pin image.

Yes. I’m looking to buy some inserts/insoles for my shoes, and I’m still researching and thinking. Sometimes it takes a bit to tap on the purchase button! 😉

Of course! Love featuring your blog!
Great features again this week Julie! I can’t wait to see your new painting, and MWA updates. Yes, the weather here has been crazy, too! AND my AC in the car went out… AGAIN! Sigh. Trusting and resting in the Lord!
My sweet friend, thanks so much for the feature! I’m happy to share a new post at the party today! Hugs!
Yay! I saw it! You are so clever!
FABULOUS inspiration this week, Julie! Hope you have a lovely day and thanks for hosting! Creatively, Beth
Always blessed to have you with us, Beth!
Thanks for hosting, Julie. Great tips.
Of course! Good to see you this week, Cindy!
Thanks so much for sharing our Father’s Day gift guide! Also, thanks for the tip on cleaning paint brushes. I have never heard of using rubbing alcohol to get the dried paint off of them. I usually give up on them and throw them out. You are going to be saving me tons of money!
Oh, great! My mom taught me that trick when she owned her ceramic studio and painted nursery lamps and ceramic accessories for the baby stores across the country. Not too many of those types of stores anymore, but Bergstrom’s was one of our big accounts!
Julie, your life is so busy right now, I’m not sure I could handle all the juggling you seem to be doing so well. I’m also looking forward to seeing more of your wee abode. Those fabric flags are adorable, pinned! I’m in at #97 this week, sharing an Americana table. Thank you for hosting us.
Thanks for joining, Rita! Always good to have you here! I’m juggling, but dropping lots of balls! 😉
What a wonderful surprise to see my post featured this week – Thank you! It’s an honor to be among the other fabulous features. I need to take a Pinterest course. My numbers have gone so far down. Thanks for the great tips on that too. Have a great week!
I know… blogging is a crazy world these days!
Thanks for all the tips, Julie, and for another fun party! I can’t imagine how you are juggling the home project and working at the same time! Whew!
Well, I’m NOT doing a good job! LOL! Saturday morning, I have a date with my spray gun and cabinet doors!
