Tuesday Turn About #282 Oh Christmas Trees

Spread the love

Tuesday Turn About #282 Oh Christmas Trees: We are just about two weeks away from Christmas! Let’s celebrate with some Christmas tree inspo, recipes, and more!

TUESDAY TURN ABOUT #282 OH CHRISTMAS TREES

At last week’s party, we welcomed December.

It’s crazy to think that Christmas 2024 is just a couple weeks away!

Are you ready?

What do you have left to do?

Since there was only about three weeks in between Thanksgiving and Christmas, I figured some are still working on decorating their homes.

No problem! Today, we have some features that all have to do with Christmas trees! (Be sure to take a close look through the window of the tablescape plates! 😉 )

Abode Adventures

Traffic is winding down at Hobby Lobby. This week, all my shifts are only 6 hours long. That is a welcome break! Next week, my shifts are much longer! It will be interesting to see what the week before Christmas looks like at HL!

In the near future…

… I’ve yet to hear anything about being offered a permanent position at HL. However, I’ve decided that I really only want to work for 15-20 hours/week… and I would prefer 15 hours. We’ll see how it goes because…

I REALLY miss blogging!

And I have a plan that I will be implementing to be sure to put in the hours I need to get more new content out for you all! One of the steps includes taking my laptop to the gorgeous Cerritos Library (located literally around the block) and doing my computer work there. This way, the temptations of being home will not be screaming in my ear while I try to work at the dinette table.

The 2025 Calendar is finished!

And I plan to have that out by this weekend, if not sooner! I just need to write up a quick post, but the calendar is complete, and I’m hoping you will love it!

If you make your own home-made gravy from your turkey drippings… see the last item on the list above! 😉

Blogging tips will be back soon!

Let’s start sharing! Because this is a party, we encourage all who link up to visit several other bloggers who have linked as well – comments and pins are a great way to spread the love!

Before you get started, take a look at our guidelines:

  • This party is for home decor, home-related posts, and family-related posts only (recipes, organizing, DIY, crafts, travel, education, etc.). Link up to 3 related posts. Please do not link up informational posts that do not relate to the topic.
  • If you would please not link up shops, advertising, round-ups, other link parties, or any posts promoting sales, we would appreciate it.
  • DO NOT PIN FROM IMAGES ON THIS PAGE (it just won’t work right on Pinterest). However, please visit the original post/source and pin from there. That works perfectly!
  • Please make sure that your images are in a jpeg or png format. If we can’t save your image, we may not be able to feature you. So sad!
  • By linking to the party, you give us permission to share your projects on our blogs and social media, with the use of ONE photo from your blog for that may be included in a pinnable collage. We will always give proper credit with a no-pin image.

Let me know in the comments how your decorating is going, and if you have started Christmas shopping. And keep those wonderful Christmas posts comin’!

  2. Each time I walk into our “local” HL I think about working there, but for me it is 38 miles away LOL. I do enjoy that store much more than I ever thought I would. Thank you kindly for featuring my post A Caravan Christmas, I appreciate it. Have a wonderful week. Melynda @scratchmadefood!

  3. Yes, there are plenty of us still decorating…We usually get a live tree and are waiting until our college kids get home to buy it. Thanks for hosting and thank you so much for featuring my holiday season ideas! Enjoy your week!

    1. See! Many of us are running late. My sister is the only one I know that got done BEFORE Thanksgiving. They were in Japan for the holiday, and she wanted to be greeted when she got home with Christmas! Smart girl!

  4. Julie,

    1. It’s still at 50%. I’ve heard from other influencers that we don’t get marked down until after Christmas. We’ll see! There isn’t a lot left at our store!

  5. Thanks for the party. I’m #’s 23 and 24 this week. I hope you get hired on permanently at Hobby Lobby. I finished decorating last week Thursday, but I did things slightly simpler since I had less time this year.

  6. My tree is up but not yet decorated! I have a few things out, but I’m doing it in bits and pieces. Glad your shifts were a bit shorter!

    1. Yeah… I think everyone is running behind a bit. There were several customers yesterday that were still buying to decorate a tree.

  7. Thanks so much for having us over, Julie. Hope your work hours are adjusted for you after Christmas. I know our HL is Always busy! Thanks for sharing my hearth room post this week. Enjoy the Season!!

  8. Hi there, Julie, thanks for hosting. Wishing you an awesome Tuesday and rest of the month. Hope your dreams come true regarding your working hours.

    Hope you will join SSPS

  9. I am loving looking at everyone’s Christmas posts. It is hard to believe it is so close, I am not ready though. I work retail so it is always hectic for me. Have a wonderful rest of your week and thanks for hosting!

  10. Hi Julie! Thanks for another fun party and I appreciate the feature of our Christmas mantel. I actually got many of the honeycomb pieces at HL. They were 50% off a couple of weeks ago and the store was pretty picked over. I can imagine now. I think working at the library is a fantastic idea. I’ve considered it myself since there’s so much going on at my house all the time. Hubby works from home, there’s the dog, and my son is home from graduating college… yeah lots of interruptions. lol. Happy Holidays friend. XO- MaryJo

    1. Yes… I recognized the ornaments! Some of my faves! It’s crazy how much our homes call to us… and how it’s supposed to be that way, but when you work, it can’t!

  11. I love to go to the library or to a coffee shop to work on my blog. Isn’t it amazing how much more can get done! Thank you so much for featuring my home tour post. Wishing you an awesome week!

  12. FABULOUS Christmas tree inspiration, Julie! I understand having to find a productive place to work! I am in the same boat, so many distractions at home! Have a lovely week! Creatively, Beth

    1. Thanks, Cindy. Yes… I’m thankful for the family, and we will all be together. My siblings will be taking me out this Friday to celebrate my big 60 bday, too! Blessed!

  13. Julie, thank you for including my Plaid Patterns table among your features! Great catch on the Christmas tree! I’m so behind in getting ready for Christmas — I’ve been down and out for a week with bronchitis, but hoping some energy returns quick.

    1. I’m so sorry, Sandra, for the bronchitis. I get that often, as well. I hope you are feeling 100% for Christmas Day! (I think EVERYONE is behind. Had a customer at HL yesterday that was decorating her tree today… with all new elements!)
