Tuesday Turn About #186 Seeing Red
Looks like the party is in full-swing heart-mode! This week, Tuesday Turn About #186 is Seeing Red.
TUESDAY TURN ABOUT #186 SEEING REED
If you want some “love”ly crafts, take a look at last week’s party.
It’s party time!
And this week, we are seeing red… or at least I am. But, in the very best way!
When Purses Go Missing…
On Sunday morning, while preparing to leave for church, Mom realized her purse was ‘lost’. I looked in the usual places where/when her purse gets ‘lost’, to no avail. So, I figured I had left it in the trunk of the car the night before when I removed her walker from the car.
Nope, not there either.
I knew that she would be fretting through-out church if I didn’t find it, so I ran back upstairs to take another look in the apartment, while Mom stayed in the car with our neighbor that rides along with us to church.
Still, nothing.
Great Neighbors…
As I walked back to the car, one of my neighbors called out to me to ask if I had lost something. “Yes, my mom’s black purse is lost!” Lori let me know that she had found it outside near the lobby (where Mom has stopped to rest the night before… I don’t know HOW I missed it)!
We thanked the Lord together while we made our 10-minute car-trip to church.
Then BAM!
While stopped at a red light, just behind the crosswalk, the young man behind us was adjusting his seat and his foot slipped off the brake and onto the gas.
The car trunk popped open, the cup I was sipping my coffee from doused me with liquid and my lip went numb. “Is that blood? Oh, praise God, it’s just coffee!”
Everyone is fine, except for some slight bruising to my lips. LOL!
Now to wait on the insurance company. (The young man took full responsibility, and has actually been wonderful to ‘work’ with.)
Just a Bit More…
Thank you all for your prayers this past week. Mom has definitely had a decline this month, and it’s been a bit rough. My sister arrived home yesterday, and we’ll be back to our regular schedule starting tomorrow. Please continue to pray for quick jet-lag recovery for her, and that Mom will adjust back to not having me with her all the time. Thank you!
Now, let’s get back to seeing red… red for Valentine’s Day, that is!
And remember… my co-hostesses are seeing red this week, too…
Be sure to hop on over to My Family Thyme and Reinvented Delaware to check out SIX additional features from TTA!
If you haven’t been featured at MWA this week, you just may be featured there!
But first, some tips!
Weekly Household Tip
When you scroll through this post, you’ll see a new recipe on My Wee Abode for Easy Egg-Free Black Forest Trifle.

This tip is on that recipe post, however, it’s worth sharing here, too!
When mixing instant pudding, get the best results by whisking the milk and pudding mix in a metal bowl with a whisk. This eliminates the need to get out the hand-mixer, clean the metal prongs, AND all the splashes the hand mixer makes!
Mix it for two minutes and then place in the refrigerator for at least 5 minutes… over-night is even better!
