TUESDAY TURN ABOUT #331 THANKFULLY BLESSED

Well, ALMOST Thanksgiving!

Are you ready for the holiday? What will YOU be doing?

Getting ready with a turkey and all the fixings? This post is for you!

If you want inspo for some last minute crafts for the kids, this post is for you!

If you are ready to get started on Christmas decor, DIYs, and crafts… well, you know the drill.

Abode Adventures

Sunday, my daughter and I shopped for the items we will be taking together to our large, extended family get-together on Thursday. A small turkey (we will have two), all the stuffing (crockpot, I’m coming for you), and a couple of our family favorite… cream cheese pies (our family calls it cheesecake).

Hobby Lobby will be BUSY on Black Friday and Saturday, even though we don’t have any special sales going on. I HOPE we still have items left by then! I have an 8-hour shift on Friday (I’m closing… it will be rough)! And then I open at 8am the next morning! Pray for me!

Now, let’s get to some features that just might help you this week and are sure to bring you inspiration!

Though not a requirement at all, I would be SO blessed if you would subscribe and/or follow me either here on the blog, Facebook, Pinterest, or Instagram. Thanks!

Check out our Tuesday Turn About Link Party Pinterest board! All featured posts are pinned to this board each week, IF you have a pinnable image!

Let’s start sharing! Because this is a party, we encourage all who link up to visit several other bloggers who have linked as well – comments and pins are a great way to spread the love!

Before you get started, take a look at our guidelines:

  • This party is for home decor, home-related posts, and family-related posts only (recipes, organizing, DIY, crafts, travel, education, etc.). Link up to 3 related posts. Please do not link up informational posts that do not relate to the topic.
  • If you would please not link up shops, advertising, round-ups, other link parties, or any posts promoting sales, we would appreciate it.
  • DO NOT PIN FROM IMAGES ON THIS PAGE (it just won’t work right on Pinterest). However, please visit the original post/source and pin from there. That works perfectly!
  • Please make sure that your images are in a jpeg or png format. If we can’t save your image, we may not be able to feature you. So sad!
  • By linking to the party, you give us permission to share your projects on our blogs and social media, with the use of ONE photo from your blog for that may be included in a pinnable collage. We will always give proper credit with a no-pin image.

My wish for you this week is for you and yours to have a very Happy Thanksgiving!

I look forward to seeing what’s coming next week! I would LOVE to do a party just focused on Christmas home tours. Let your blogging friends know… I would love to share some Christmas home decor inspiration!

  2. Praying for you Julie as the busy season will certainly keep you busy at Hobby Lobby. Happy Thanksgiving and enjoy your family and the turkeys. Hugs Kari

  3. Julie, great features as always! Enjoy your family gathering and while it is easy for folks to say, “don’t work too hard” one does most of the time. Take care and thanks so for hosting!

  4. Your Thanksgiving sounds lovely Julie – so fun to plan it with your daughter! Good luck with the holiday madness at HL, I’ll be crossing my fingers for you! Thanks so much for hosting the party – I can’t wait to see what everybody has to share – I always get so much inspiration! Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours!

    1. Have a Happy Thanksgiving! Thank you very much for the feature this week 🙂
Good luck on Friday and Saturday!! I worked retail for a few years and holidays, especially black Friday was always so exhausting!

  5. Oh, Julie! It’s 6:30 am on Friday morning when I’m writing this and I’m thinking of you getting ready for your HL shift today followed by an early one tomorrow morning! I’m guessing it’s a festive place to be but I also know (sadly) that some shoppers are not always on their best behavior. Praying that you have stamina to make it through your shifts (and the others that are bound to come) and that the shoppers you encounter are showing patience and kindness. Have a good week!

    1. Your comment actually made me cry! THANK YOU for thinking and praying for me, Laura! Just too sweet and kind! BIG HUGS! Off to shower and set out for me shift! 😉 God is good… all the time!

  6. Thank you so much for the feature! I greatly appreciate it. Hope your Thanksgiving was fun. Now onto the Christmas season – woohoo!

  7. Julie, I sure hope your day/evening and early morning opening tomorrow go smoothly. May you have the strength and endurance, and no residual.aches and pains from working the most hectic days of retail shopping. I went to a few small business shops today, amd will do more of the same tomorrow, trying to stay away from the high traffic areas. Honestly, the road traffic is worse than the in-store traffic, I feel.

    1. Thank you, Rita… the days were not nearly as difficult as I expected… I’m sure the prayers helped! 😀 God is good, and gave me strength. The closing was nothing on Friday, but my poor fellow employees suffered on Saturday. Thankful that I didn’t have to close that night!
