Tuesday Turn About #260 Summer Shenanigans: We’ve started the party, and we have summer inspo for everyone!

TUESDAY TURN ABOUT #260 SUMMER SHENANIGANS

We welcomed in July at last week’s party.

Summer is in full swing all across the country, with record breaking heatwaves already starting to hit.

Here in So Cal, summer said, “I’m HEEEERRRRE!” and didn’t give us even a tiny break to get used to the idea! Whew!

With Independence Day passing, we are now welcoming summer inspiration in full swing!

This week, we have DIYs, recipes, decor, and more!

But first, let’s take a look at some tips, finds, and adventures!

Abode Adventures

At last week’s party, I hinted that I recently has some changes in thought about storing my spices, specifically that I wanted glass jars and stainless steel lids.

One of the reasons I needed to order these, and have more jars on hand, is because I’ve started a new health program that focuses on glorifying the Lord through my diet and exercise (and all the spices are a big part of the cooking).

I’ll be filling you in on more soon, but I will share two things today. First, I have always known in my head that I need to glorify the Lord in all that I do. But, my idolization of unhealthy foods has crowded out my heart’s desire to do this. This program, with a forward focus on the Lord, I believe will help with that.

Second, with every program I have ever tried in the past, one thing that has always bothered me is how focused the diet is on food. This seems contradictory to me. Well, the way this program is set-up, it takes all the guesswork out of prep, includes easy recipes, and complete menu plans.

I look forward to sharing more with you soon!

My Wee Finds

This week, I found I needed a hanger in the shower to hold my razor. Long story short, my razor kept dropping on the shower floor and ‘exploding’. You know what I mean, right?

Amazon to the rescue! These cute lil’ doohickies hold your razor, and a whole lot more!

Another practical and affordable item are these motion-sensor puck lights. They are perfect for under the sink or in a dark pantry!

After using my metal strainer in my ‘tank-cleaning-adventure’ (don’t ask!), I needed to purchase a new set of metal strainers that would fit in my kitchen drawer. These are “pretty” (at least for a kitchen tool) and get the job done.

Weekly Household Tip

Be sure to be using a dry microfiber cloth to clean your digital screens. Most chemicals, like Windex, can damage your TV, computer, and other screens.

Weekly Blogging Tip

Things are constantly changing in the blogging world… that’s not news to you, I’m sure.

So with change, we bloggers need to change, as well.

Take time to step back, look at your blog, and refine and niche-down. Be sure you are sticking with consistent content that is helpful to your readers, and helps solve a problem.

Change is good, for the most part! 😉

Now, let’s get to the party!

Though not a requirement at all, I would be SO blessed if you would subscribe and/or follow me either here on the blog, Facebook, Pinterest, or Instagram. Thanks!

Before you get started, take a look at our guidelines:

  • This party is for home decor, home-related posts, and family-related posts only (recipes, organizing, DIY, crafts, travel, education, etc.). Link up to 3 related posts. Please do not link up informational posts that do not relate to the topic.
  • If you would please not link up shops, advertising, round-ups, other link parties, or any posts promoting sales, we would appreciate it.
  • DO NOT PIN FROM IMAGES ON THIS PAGE (it just won’t work right on Pinterest). However, please visit the original post/source and pin from there. That works perfectly!
  • Please make sure that your images are in a jpeg or png format. If we can’t save your image, we may not be able to feature you. So sad!
  • By linking to the party, you give us permission to share your projects on our blogs and social media, with the use of ONE photo from your blog for that may be included in a pinnable collage. We will always give proper credit with a no-pin image.
