WHAT IS ‘TUESDAY TURN ABOUT’?

If your are new here, you might be wondering, ‘What exactly IS a Tuesday Turn About?’  Well, if you’re familiar at all with the BBC adaptation of Jane Austen’s “Pride and Prejudice”, you may remember that a turn about the room was when one or two people might stroll around the parlor (post dinner) and take in all that others were interested in or participating in, nodding in acknowledgement to some as they strolled (although, Lizzie might debate that some women did this so the men in the room would get an ‘eye-full’ of the strollers’ figures… wink-wink).  So… this is what we do each Tuesday.  We take an online turn about to see the best blog posts on the internet…what makes our heads’ give an acknowledging nod… or just plain makes us sigh with joy!  Shall we?

TEMPTING TABLESCAPES

My Soulful Home’s photos make me sigh… often. 😀  And this fall tablescape is just so charming. (Yes, people… fall is coming!) Kelly has a major floral arranging talent, too! (She even has an amazing and lovely book that I reviewed for Last Minute Mother’s Day gifts!)Everyday Living has SO many lovely tablescapes… but this one… Just look at the theme, and then the background of the garden!  I kept scrolling through the post saying, “Oh my goodness… Oh my goodness!” Yep… swoon-worthy… pretty much!

Okay… gotta have some blue and white… and if you add yellow, I’m even happier!  Dining Delight set this buffet tablescape with such a joy-filled style! Tablescapes can be done in all different ways!

GET YOUR CRAFT ON

I LOVED making this galvanized tire wreath for my door!  It’s so easy to change out the flowers and add different elements (think ornaments, wooden signs) to it for each season!

Marissa from Squirrels of a Feather shows us that, yes, you CAN paint ceramics with chalk paint… and what a beautiful job she did!And since we’re starting to think about fall décor (well, I have to… gotta share so YOU have plenty of time to prepare! 😉 ) Jamie at Anderson and Grant shows us how to make inexpensive (okay, downright CHEAP) pumpkins look quite real!  And you probably have the makings for the stem lying in your catch-all drawer!
